-Devin's pov-

The moment I realized that she was in trouble I've been a wreck. It's been 5 hours since I've last seen or heard from her. My worst fears were coming true and I wasn't not ready for such sudden impact.

I knew ever since we met we could never work out due to my past. Due to my family. But that didn't stop me, I love her and it can't be stopped. I need her in my life. I need her in my arms, safe.

"Listen Devin this can be done easy or hard. And it's all up to you." The tall man towers over me as I sit in the chair being interrogated.

"How many times do I have to tell you. I DONT KNOW!" I shout and my heart was pounding on the inside. I've been sitting in this concrete room for who knows how many hours. My white button up wasn't really white anymore. Stains and rips we're covering it now.

All I can remember is going out to this party with Y/n and when we left it just went black after that. I don't know who has took me or anything. I just know they want answers about my families past and they weren't getting it.

"Tell us and we tell you where she is." My head spins and I look up at him. I felt blood and sweat trickle down my face.

"Where is she you bastards?" I move my hands around trying to escape from the ties. I was sending silent prayers to God that she was safe and not harmed in anyway.

"Tell us where they are." He repeats and I couldn't. My family was everything to me but so was she. My family has been involved with some very bad people for as long as I can remember. I was told to never trust anyone and have had strict rules of what to do and not. Ever since I've been in the NBA I have so much freedom it's crazy. But no one knows what's behind my real life.

"I don't know for the millionth time!" I say and he takes a punch at my face again. I felt the pain pulse through my body. They untie me from the chair and start walking me down this hallway.

"Maybe you need some persuasion." The guy says and I was fearing the absolute worse. They turn the corner and open up a door. My body jolts hard when I see her being held up with these chains. Her mouth covered with tap and a bloody gash in her side.

"NO Y/N! IM HERE!" Her eyes slowly open and I can see tears slowly cascading down her face. "LET ME GO!" I use all the force in my body to fight against them so I could get to her. She didn't deserve this none of it!

"Now are you going to tell us where they are?" He asks again and I fight in the hard grasps trying to get to her.

"I told you I don't know where they are! Leave her out of this! Let her go!" I practically beg and they punch me across the face again. This time hitting my lower jaw.

"You know what to do." He says and I watch another guy walk up to her and pull the knife up to her gash.

"Talk now or else."

"Don't you dare touch her don't you-" A muffled scream was heard from her and I watch them place the knife into her cut.

"STOP! STOP IT PLEASE YOU'RE HURTING HER!" I kept fighting and trying to get to her.

"Tell us NOW!" This time he yells and I didn't know what else to do. "Let her down. He'll talk eventually." They throw me down and shut the door leaving us alone. I run over to her and place her gently in my arms.

"I'm so sorry I put you through this. You didn't deserve any of this. You didn't even know. I'm so sorry." I had tears escaping my eyes as I softly rocked her. She was so weak I thought I'd break her with just one touch.

"Do me a favor and stay alive. Please I love you. I need you." She grips on to my shirt and mumbles something. I reach my head down so I can hear her.

"Don't leave me." She half mumbles half whispers.

"I won't. I promise." I held her to me as close as I could. "I'll get us out of here."
