It was silent for what seemed like a life time before the screaming and panicked running began.

“Harry! Are you alright?” The frantic voice of Louis Cullen said in my ear.

“I'm fine.” I said. My voice sounded strange. I tried to sit up but I realized that I was pinned to Louis in almost an iron like grip. “I'm fine.” I repeated hoping he would loosen his grip.

“Be careful. I think you hit your head.” He resigned as he let me sit up.

I became aware of the pounding of me head. Oww.

I sat up and turned towards him. “How in the hell did you get over here so fast?” I inquired.

“Harry.” He said in a serious tone. “I was standing right next to you.”

I turned to look at him slightly disoriented. I was then distracted by his golden eyes. What was I asking him again?

Just then a huge group of students made their way to us and the shouting began.

“Don’t move!” Someone said to me.

“Get Tyler out of the van!”

Everything seemed like a blur as people were panicking all around us but I focused on Louis. I tried to get up to help or something but Louis pushed me back down.

“Just stay put for now.” He said.

“But it’s cold!” I complained, which only earned a chuckle from Louis. “You were over by your car.” I said just remembering what our conversation was previously about.

“No I wasn’t Harry.” Louis said in serious voice. “I was right next to you. I pulled you out of the way.”

“But I saw you. You were right over there!” I protested.

“I was right next to you Harry.”

“No.” I said determined that I was right.

“Please, Harry.” His gold eyes shone with frustration.

“Why?”

“Just trust me.” I heard the sirens in the distance.

“Will you explain everything to me later?” I questioned quickly.

“Fine.” He sighed exasperated.

“Fine.” I replied.

Just then the ambulances came. Louis refused medical help and I tried to do the same but he told them that I hit my head… that traitor! They put me in a neck brace, which was absolutely embarrassing because I was not hurt in the least and they loaded me onto a stretcher… in front of the whole school. I hated having that many eyes on me.

Louis got to ride in the front. Why didn’t they check him out? I mean he bloody stopped the damn car for me… I think.

To make things worse Des arrived before they got me into the ambulance. When he saw me on the stretcher he all but had a heart attack.

"Harry!” he shouted as he made his way towards me.

“I’m fine Dad!” I called back trying to reassure him.

Des started talking to the EMT to see if I was telling the truth. Thanks for the vote of confidence Des, I thought as the loaded me into the ambulance.
