History class has to be the most boring thing ever. When the bell rings I'm immediately out of my seat and rushing to my locker. To my disappointment Perrie is already there waiting for me.

“Ready to go to lunch!” She says. I really don’t want to hang out with anyone but I guess it can’t hurt to make a few friends while I'm here. After all this is my new home.

We make our way to the cafeteria. I'm reluctant to sit at the table Perrie is motioning to since Tom is there but I also recognize Eleanor and some other guy.

“Hey guys!” Perrie says while dragging me down to sit. “This is Harry and he’s new!”

“We have English together.” Eleanor remarks and I see a brief bit of anger flash through Perrie’s eyes.

“Oh great! So you already know each other huh?”

“Not really. I just sit next to him. I think this is the first time we’ve spoken right?” Everyone turns to look at me.

"Yes.” I reply before returning to my lunch.

“Well anyway!” Perrie continues; “You’ve already met Tom, so I just have to introduce you to Max! Max this is Harry!” Max greets me with a hey before returning to his food. He seems to be the jock of the group and I notice Perrie’s not so subtle attempts at trying to get his attention.

Just them a group of extraordinarily beautiful people enter the cafeteria.

“Hey.” I nudge Perrie; “Who are they?” I motion to the group.

“Oh them.” I see slight resentment in her eyes. “Those are the Cullen’s.”

“Who?”

“The Cullen’s. They are all Simon Cullen’s adopted children. They are all like together together, which I'm pretty sure might be illegal.”

“They aren’t related.” Eleanor remarks. “Well not by blood so it makes is legal.”

“Whatever. See that one with the dirty blond hair? That’s Niall. Then the one beside him with the brown hair is Josh. They are like totally lovey dovey and stuff. Then there’s Liam. He’s the one with the curly brown hair and beside him with the black hair that always sticks up is Zayn. They are totally dating. We’re all waiting for them to get married. And finally there’s Louis. He’s like too good for anyone in this school.”

I watch Louis enter the room and I swear time slows down. He has feathery light brown hair and is almost skipping but he is the most gorgeous man I’ve ever seen. I notice Perrie still talking about them but I ignore her and concentrate on Louis. Just then I notice he turns to look at me and our eyes connect. I quickly look away not wanting to seem creepy. I really don’t want to make myself look like a fool in front of him.

While I'm lost in thought the bell rings signally I have to get ready for Gym with Mr. O'Neil. Just the thought of Gym makes me shudder. I am so uncoordinated that I'm tempted to just skip the class for the rest of the year and fail it, but I know I can't because Des would be very disappointed.

Thankfully before I know it the bell indicating the period is over rings. I on my way to  Biology. Tom and Max who apparently are in my class, meet me at my locker and we walk to class together.

When we arrive to the classroom Tom goes off and talks to the teacher and Max walks quickly to his seat.

“Hello class and welcome to another school day!” Mr. Cambridge says. “Oh! Harry you must be new! You can go sit next to Louis!” I curse my bad luck and go sit next to him. “Well let’s get started!”

I notice that Louis is visibly tense next to me. “Are you ok?” I ask a little worried that I may have already done something wrong. He just nods stiffly and stays silent the rest of the class, which passes by incredibly slowly mostly because I'm distracted by the boy beside me.

When the bell finally rings Louis stands up and runs out of the class.

“What did you do stick him with a pencil?” Max asks.

“No why?” I reply still confused over why Louis acted like that.

“I’ve never seen him act like that before.” Max said chuckling. “You must have done something really wrong!” And with those reassuring words Max left.

I was still pondering Max’s words as I walked towards the office to check in about my first day of school. As I got there I heard faint voices speaking but I could make out the conversation.

“Surly there must be any other class I could switch into during fourth period!” I looked around the corner and realized it was Louis arguing with the secretary.

“I’m sorry dear but all the other classes are full. There's nothing I can do.” Just then Louis noticed my presence and tensed again.

“That’s fine.” He said stiffly. “I guess I will just have to bear it.” And with that he walked out of the office not without sending me a quick glare.

“So how was your first day?” The secretary asked.

“Fine.” I reply before handing in my sheet and leaving.

Why would Louis want to change out of fourth period? What did I do? Why did he hate me?
