Wednesday
Morning
I woke up in a daze, twisting my head around to see if Caspar was there. Nope. He ditched me. Nice.
Kip was playing with some sort of rope, so I guessed that Caspar had been here already, before I woke up. I smiled fondly to myself as Kip played happily away, before placing my hand down on a cereal box.
"Ah shit. Nice one me." I quickly lifted up my arm, to see that I left a huge dent in the box. Smart. I was so hungry I just opened up the cereal and poured it all into my mouth, devouring it like there was no tomorrow.
"Morning sleepyhead!"
I quickly looked up at the sound of Caspar's voice, bits of granola cereal falling out of my mouth in surprise. I gaped at him, as he casually walked over to me from the fence, again, taking quite a while as it was far away, calling over to Kip as he did so, the same bag he always wore bouncing up and down.
"Morning." I mumbled with my mouth full, taking another handful of the breakfast before dropping them onto my tongue, munching loudly. It was a bit awkward, as just the day before I had sat on Caspar's lap like a baby, and he almost had to feed me. Plus he kissed my head - h - he kissed my forehead?!
Once Caspar had reached me, he sat down crossed legged, copying me. "Get good sleep last night?" He asked, taking a bit of the cereal for himself, then dumping the ghost bag on the grass beside him.
I nodded, suddenly stupidly shy and quiet. "Cat got your tongue?"
He was teasing me, I know, he was messing around but I still stared at my hands, my cheeks heating up in embarrassment. How did he have this stupid effect on me?
"Thanks." I said finally, which was sort of stupid because he wasn't even listening to me anymore, but I ignored my burning ears and cheeks and finished the breakfast, before clicking my tongue and calling Kip over.
Kip trotted over to me, before flopping down lazily beside me, rolling onto his back for a tummy rub. Of course. I began to tickle his belly with a grin before Caspar reached over to his bag. "I brought you a few clothes."
I immediately stopped petting Kip and I gaped at him once more. "Yes, I noticed you have like two outfits and probably wash all your underwear and shit by the lake and I knew you needed a few more things to wear. Got you socks and shoes too. You're welcome."
I stared at him in surprise as he tossed me the bag, and I opened the zip and took out a bright red t - shirt with black dots all over it, with the number 86 on the front in white lettering. Next was a pair of black jeans, that looked a bit too big but I could roll them up. And then there were tracksuits. And jumpers. And jackets. More t - shirts, boxers, and just like he said, socks and shoes. Nice shoes too, that I could maybe fit into if they were a teeny bit big.
"They're my old clothes." Caspar told me very matter of factly. "They're probably gonna be big because you're tiny, but you'll grow into them eventually."
I didn't really know what to say, so I just gave him a simple smile to show my gratitude, even though I should have been slightly offended, but he smiled back, before attacking me in some sort of spray.
It was a quick move, he darted for the bag and grabbed the spray before I could blink and I realised it was cologne. Ouch. Did I really smell that bad?
My eyes stung a little as a bit of the spray had gotten in them, but I rubbed them carelessly and scowled at the blonde, who was grinning mischievously at me, his eyes somewhat twinkling.
"You don't smell bad." He hummed, rolling his eyes at me. "Problem is, you don't really smell like anything. Except the wilderness. Thought I'd give you a more - approaching scent."
I sighed before taking the stupid cologne and stuffing it into the bag ungratefully, a little bit rude. "I don't want your cologne thanks very much." I snapped harshly, which was a bit stupid because he'd been so kind.
"I didn't mean to be untactful." Caspar tried to say, but I had already turned away from him, my arms crossed in a scowl. It was probably a childish move, but I wasn't exactly the happiest person alive.
"Quit the attitude Joe." Caspar warned, his tone dangerous, as if he was my mother or something. What the hell? "Stop acting like a baby."
I clenched my fists angrily. Who was he to tell me how to act? I refused to turn around because now I was a teeny bit embarrassed, so eventually he sighed and gave up, taking his bag and wandering away.
Good fucking riddance.

_Midday
I decided to take a quick nap, a small, half hour nap. Stupidest thing I've ever done. My eyes were tired and half closed and I was slumping around like a sack of potatoes, what was the worse that was gonna happen?
I woke up and it was definitely not only a half hour later. It was already clearly the middle of afternoon, maybe three or four. My eyes scanned the meadow and landed on a patch in the grass where Kip had been.
He was gone.
I pushed myself up frantically, running a hand through my hair frustratedly as I searched for him, but he wasn't there. Maybe I was overreacting? He could just be hunting for food. I could feel my heart rate speeding up as there was no trace of where the striped beast had once been.
"Kip!" I screamed, overwhelmed tears filling my eyes. "KIP COME BACK!"
I pulled at my hair, I slammed my fist against the tree, I kicked the remains of the things Caspar had left for me.
But it was no use.
The friendly, striped tiger was gone.
