Sunday
Morning
I don't think there is anything worse then waking up with a tiger in your face, and you're hanging upside down.
Especially when you're a panicky, easily freaked out and a hot mess of a person, like me."Argh!"
My rope was cutting my stomach, and I could feel the blood, spreading around my back and tummy. Kip was growling in my face, and my blood was rushing to my head, and I felt light headed.
My legs were digging in the branch of the tree, holding on as tight as possible, while my arms were flinging everywhere, causing me to swing forwards and backwards.
I quickly raised my arms in attempt to clutch the rope, big, big mistake.
One piece of it had broken and there was a tight, thin line in the middle, the rest of the end tufty, which to my dismay, snapped.
"AH!" The rope unraveled around my waist and I fell down the tree.My instant thought was that I was going to land on my neck and I was going to break it, but suddenly I heard a thumping sound and I landed on something soft.
Kip had run forward, and I landed on him instead.
I rubbed my head in a daze, before realising I was sitting on Kip, so I quickly clamoured off him, before rubbing his back, mumbling a chorus of 'thank you' s. He didn't reply, but he nuzzled his head into my knee, and I leaned down to give him a quick hug.
See what I mean? Tigers aren't all dangerous, especially when they literally saved your entire life. How could you kill such a kind hearted animal? It makes zero sense.
My heart was still beating fast, the shock of it all bringing overwhelming tears to my eyes, even though I had like no idea why I was almost crying. Like what the hell?
Kip nudged me off him, and I have him a little tap before sitting up properly, taking a view of the day's weather.
It was cloudy, but the air was humid and warm, sort of stuffy, but there wasn't a single wind in the air, and the sun was nowhere to be seen, but it was still hot.
After I stared at the sky for like two minutes, I realised I smelt really bad.
Like, really really bad."Fuck, this is disgusting."
I ditched Kip and grabbed my second lucky pair of clothes, ones I found in a small bag outside a bin beside the charity shop. Before you get any ideas, the bag was labelled "NOT IN USE" so obviously somebody had to take them, right?
After chucking out a bunch of baby clothes and shit, I actually found a pair of Jean short things and a decent t - shirt, which I still wear, and some boxers and socks, but no shoes. But I did own a pair of black, old converse, and today seemed to be the perfect day to wear them.
I clutched the white plastic bag and continued to walk down the meadow to the lake, ready for some sort of shower/bath, but without shampoo or conditioner, let alone some body wash.
I stripped to nothing (which was still embarrassing, incase anyone saw me) and didn't hesitate to jump into the freezing cold water, shivering instantly as the coldness wrapped around me, more freezing then I thought.
"SHIT!"
