Tala's P.O.V

After having breakfast with shawn and actually fighting who's the best cooker, he said he has to go to do sound check.

I was still thinking about his behaviour to me, I don't know if I should think about it or maybe let it go?

I felt very lonely in the flat alone. I went to my room which is supposed to be ours, but I don't think it will anytime soon. I didn't realise it had a balcony before. I opened the creamy coloured curtains and entered. The balcony had an amazing view, I could look at this view for hours and never get bored.

I stood up and went out of the balcony and decided to kill some time. I thought of calling Ely and see what's she up to, maybe we could hang out. I also need to make sure she understands that I was just joking when I talked about shawn.

I went to the living room because I left my phone there by the tv, I grabbed it and dialed her number. I waited for a few moments until she answered.

"Hey hoe. ", Ely's voice went through my phone. Calling me by her favourite nickname.

"Hey bitch, what are you doing lately?", I asked her while opening the tv and going through the channels trying to find something good. I found finding nemo and I stopped flipping through them. I love this movie so much, this was my very favourite when I was a child and still is!

"I was going for some shopping, do you want to join. Or I bet you have more interesting things to do. ", I could actually picture this bitch's eyebrows moving slightly to tease me.

" Oh shut up, he isn't even here. ", I said as I went to the kitchen to grab some popcorn.

" Really, where is he? "

"He just went to do sound check. can I join you, like the old times."

"yes, of course. You're very welcome baby. "

I hung up on her after we arranged everything but then I saw Matt was calling me. What would he want now?
I accepted the call," Hello. ", I answered slightly nervous.

"Hey Tala, it's Matt."

"yeah, what do you want?", rude much? Well, I don't care. I don't like him.

"We want more pictures of you and shawn together before his upcoming interview. So, you need to be getting ready."

" Ready for what? "

" you're going to meet his family, it's his cousin's birthday and it's the best opportunity to take pictures of you and shawn together there. "

My mouth was left wide open because I didn't expect that at all, like that would be very awkward with his family.

"Wait, Am I supposed to act in front of his family?", I asked hopping he'll say no.

" Yes, of course. You need to act in front of everyone. Even your own family. "

" I have to go Tala, Shawn will call you soon to tell you everything. "

He hang up and I was just losing my mind. I can't do this, I can't meet his family as his girlfriend, that's so weird. I can't even act for that long, I feel everything will go crazy and everyone will find out. I have to get myself ready for this.

I smelt something burning, Is that my mind because of how hard I am thinking right now?

"The popcorn! ", I screamed and entered the room quickly to save the flat.

I opened the oven quickly and a huge cloud of smoke came out, I began coughing so bad because I have an sensitivity of the smoke.

I used an old cloth to take the bowl out if the oven and I opened the window of the kitchen to let the smoke escape.

I was still coughing rapidly so I drank some water but that didn't stop it. I found my phone ringing and I went quickly to see who's calling and I found it was shawn.

Oh god, I wasn't ready at all.

I accepted the call and I'm feeling I'll find him angry because of what's going on.

"Hey, " cough," shawn.", I said drinking more water to stop this coughing.

"Hey tala, Has matt called you yet?", He sounded very tired and I felt bad for him, he has been stressing himself out too much lately and working so hard, not giving himself enough rest.

"Yeah, he did. " cough," I'm sorry. " cough.

"Sorry for what it's not your problem anyway," he sighed, "I'm comming earlier tho, we have to get ready for Astrid's birthday."

"Okay, "Cough." I'll be waiting, I was supposed, "cough," to hang out with, "cough," Ely. ", I finished getting kinda frustrated because of my continously coughing.

" I'm sorry, Why are you coughing so much tho?", he said confused of my continuous coughing.

"Smoke. "I answered shortly, not wanting to tell him I was about to set Los Angeles on fire.

" Woah, I didn't know you smoke."

"No, Stupid. ", Cough,"My popcorn got burned", leaving out the details.

"Yeah, I'm the stupid one of course. At least I know how to make popcorn. God who's what would you do this morning if I let you made breakfast. ", He was laughing at his own joke.

" bye shawn. ", I was laughing too and I hung up but that last thing I heard was his perfect laugh.
