Ethan Dolan

We were finally on our way home and the car felt so cool. Ava was sound asleep, Kian was focused on the road, and I was just staring out the window, bored as ever.

My phone buzzed signaling a text from Grayson:

We're done

I sighed of relief and replied:

We're on our way

I looked at Kian and slightly smiled, after he sees what we did, he's gonna love us. And we'll officially be the best friends ever.

I pulled up to the house exhausted and glad I was done driving. Traffic was terrible. I unbuckled my seatbelt and told Ethan to get Ava. I stepped out of the car and saw another car parked across from our house, "Who's car?" I asked.

Ethan looked in my direction and shrugged, "Neighbors probably." And headed towards the door.

I followed behind and Ethan turned around, "Dang it! I left Avas bag in the car can you get it?"

I nodded and headed back towards the car as Ethan went inside.

I grabbed the bag and walked to the door and was greeted by Ethan, Grayson, Jc, and of course Ava, smiling at me, well not Ava she was sleeping, but the rest of them were.

All of a sudden I saw a little boy walk in between Grayson and Jc. I raised an eyebrow, "Who's the kid?"

"Someone dropped him off." Jc replied.

I groaned loudly, "Are you fucking kidding me-"

"Daddy?" The little boy said in a sweet soft tone. I looked down at him, "Um, no. We don't know that for sure."

"Yes we do." A voice said coming from behind Ethan, It was Andrea. I looked at Andrea and then at the boy, and then put the pieces together and looked back up at Andrea, "T-This is him?"

Andrea nodded, "My cousins friend had him. I called him earlier and asked him to bring him down for a few days, so you could see him."

I was frozen for a minute and my eyes were glued to the little boy. I knelt down to his size and looked him in the eyes, "What's your name?"

"Adrian." He said, "Daddy?"

"Is that all you can say?" I asked, since he's only 2. He didn't say anything he just hugged me unexpectedly. I saw Andrea start to tear up and I hugged back softly. I stood back up and stared at Andrea, "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

She nodded and we took the conversation to the kitchen, "What's up?"

"Why did you do this." I blurt, "You bring him here after 2 years and think this is gonna make everything okay?"

"It wasn't my idea." Andrea said, "It was Jc's. He's the one that put all of this together-"

"Wait what? Jc did this?" I asked.

"Yes!" Andrea exclaimed, "He called me yesterday and said to come over today. He and Grayson put together a whole plan with me and my cousin. His friend came down, and said you could spend a few days with him. To try and get to know him."

"You guys brought him here just to take him back? Are you guys fucking stupid!"

"It wasn't my plan! But I had no other choice, when Jc wants something, Jc gets it! You know that better than anyone. Just enjoy it. TRY to enjoy it." Andrea finished.

"And what about you?"

"What about me?"

"You're not gonna stay? Get to know your kid?" I asked.

"No." She quickly answered, "I brought him for you not for me."

"You're his mom!"

"He doesn't know that!" Andrea yelled bursting with anger, "He thinks my cousin is his mom! He doesn't know me Kian! It's too late for me, but there's time for you. So value it. Don't complain." Andrea said leaving the kitchen.

I sighed and stayed in the kitchen for a minute, before walking back out into the living room when I saw Adrian and Jc talking about probably something pointless.

"So?" Ethan said.

I took a deep breath and sat next to Adrian, "You wanna stay with daddy for a few days?"

"Yes!" He yelled energetically.

"Wow he's full of energy." Ethan pointed out covering his ears.

I looked at Adrian for a while, and then Ava.

"You know who this is Adrian?" I asked him, setting him on my lap close to Ava.

"No." He said with a confused expression.

"This is your sister." I whispered to him. His eyes lit up and he got off my lap and went to stand in front of Ava admiring her. Avas eyes fluttered open and the first thing she saw was Adrian.

"Hi." He said waving his hand.

Ava reached for him, but obviously he wasn't big enough to hold her.

"Here. Sit down." Andrea said coming from around the corner. Adrian sat down, and Andrea looked at me, asking for permission to pick Ava up. I nodded.

Andrea picked Ava up and softly set it on Adrian's lap, "Now hold her head up." Andrea instructed nicely.

Adrian did as told and started stroking the little hair she had.

Ava looked up at him with amazement.

I turned to the guys and they were also smiling, "Thankyou." I said turning to Jc, "You're a really good friend."

"Yea and what about us?" Ethan announced.

"You guys aren't so bad either." I laughed.

"Eh, I'll take it." Ethan said laying back satisfied.

"Hey um, guys I'm gonna get going." Andrea said standing up, "My moms coming from out of town today, and I need to do some last minute cleaning."

"Adios." Ethan said without a care in the world. I rolled my eyes, "You don't wanna stay for a little while longer?"

"No. I um, no." Andrea said grabbing the knob and walking out the door.

"Weird." Grayson mumbled.

"She's upset that Adrian doesn't know she's his mom." I whispered so Adrian wouldn't hear.

"Oh well."

"Sucks for her."

"Bummer."

I rolled my eyes, they aren't the friendliest with Andrea at the moment.

I just turned around and saw Adrian and Ava, and it made me smile.
