Nest Types

Heat Nest: One of the most common types of nests these are usually very well made. They have only enough room for an omega and alpha and have nothing over the top. They are the prettiest nest made and are usually an omegas pride and joy.

Birthing Nest: This nest has a type of roof over the type. It is meant to be large enough for an alpha, omega and extra space for the birth. This nest is very private and both omega and alpha if they feel threatened will defend it.

Comfort Nest: Usually if an omega gets very upset they will create this nest. It is usually made after the death of a loved one or if something bad happens to either a loved one or the omega themself. Size varies because it is built to house the immediate family living with the family. It usually has a roof but sometimes it might not.

Talking Nest: A very rare nest that is used only by omegas. This comes from a time when omegas used to gather in groups and the oldest would make a large nest for close omega family/friends to join the omega in it. They would usually talk in it. This nest is only made by instinct, the others are usually taught by older members to younger ones or even in certain schools but a talking nest isn't learnt it is just known.

Child Nest: This nest is made when an omega wants to be with their children. So size can vary but these days they aren't too big compared to some made in the past.

Ancient Nest: Some omegas still make these, usually the ones that like to live in the past. (So pretty much nests for the Armish). They are usually made from leaves and branches and looks like an actual bird's nest. Blankets and pillows are sometimes used on the bottom to keep it comfortable but some omegas lay down large leaves or weave mats with grass instead.
