Chapter 13

I felt someone shaking me and opened my eyes. It was dark outside and Adrian was syig something.

"Princess we're here."

"Really? What time is it?"

"Around 2 o'clock in the morning."

"Wow."

"Lets go inside?"

"Yes of course."

We got out of the car and walked into the apartment building. It was okay since we weren't poor but not super fancy either. We walked up to a front desk and there was a lady sitting there with a name tag that said "Nancy".

"Welcome to 'L.A. Wonder!'"

I smiled and told her that we rented an apartment for a year here and she gave us the keys.

"Sorry if this question is personal but did you two just get married?"

"Um no we're friends."

She looked down at our hands which were intertwined and raised an eyebrow.

"So friends?"

"Yes."

We turned around and walked up the stairs to our apartment. We finally found it and I opened the door with my key. We walked in and started looking around. There was two bedrooms, a nice kitchen, a bathroom, and a normal sized living room.

"i think this is pretty good what about you?"

"Yea it's great. You want to unpack?"

"Yes but are we going to use both of the bedrooms?"

Adrian smirked. "Of course not. We're sharing the bigger one."

"Ok."

We walked over to the bigger bedroom and started unpacking our things. My parents already made sure that there was furniture and other things we needed when we came here so all we had to do was buy food. I went into the bathroom adn put on my pajamas. I brushed my teeth and walked out and fell onto the bed. Adrian was already laying down so he wrapped his arms around me and we fell into a deep sleep.

'RING! RING!'

I got up and turned my alarm clock off. It was a new day for job searching. I jumped on adrian and yelled.

"GET UP!"

He groaned and rolled over but I kept yelling until he finally woke up.

"Are you trying to kill me woman?! I want to sleep!"

"We need to go look for jobs Rian."

"Right. Okay fine I'm up."

"Mhmm you better be."

He rolled his eyes at me but got up and went to the bathroom. I put on my favorite ripped high-waisted shorts and a hot pink crop top. I put my hair up in a bun and put some quick makeup on. Adrian finally got out of the bathroom so I waited for him on the couch while he got dressed. He walked out of the bedroom.

"Ready babe?"

"I was born ready."

We walked out of our apartmet building and got in the truck. We started driving around little restaurants and asking if they need any employees or entertainment. We drove around for hours but didn't find any luck. I was about to give up until we saw a sign on a cafe.

'HELP WANTED' it said.

I smiled at Rian and we parked and went in. We got to talk to the manager.

"What are you two capable of?"

"I can cook, clean, sing, or be a waitress."

"I can clean, be a waiter, and I also sing and play guitar."

"That's great. So for now we'll have you two be a waiter and waitress. But later on I can listen to you sing and maybe we'll add some entertainment to our little cafe."

The manager smiled at us and we signed us as employees for 3 months. We walked out of the cafe extremely happy. We got in the car and Adrian kissed me.

"What was that for?"

"I dont know I'm just glad we have jobs. now lets go grocery shopping with the money your parents gave us."

"You're right we need food."

We drove to a grocery store and got everything we needed. It was late by the time we got home. I put all the groceries in the fridge and cupboards and sat on the couch next to Adrian.

"i'm so tired."

I yawned.

"Me too baby. Me too."

We looked at each other and kissed.

"We'll be okay as long as we have aech other. I know it."

We walked into our room and got ready for the night. Then we fell asleep.
