Chapter 8

We got on our horses and galloped into the fields.

I walked into my room and turned on the light since it was already dark outside. I fell on my bed and grinned like a love sick fool. Today was amazing and Adrian was so sweet except in the morning but otherwise it was fun. I opened my songwriting book and suddenly got an inspiration. I started writing the lyrics that flowed through my mind.

I bit my lip. I wish Adrian did all of those things but he's only taking me on a date and I'm already writing songs about him. I have some serious issues. I groaned and put my song book down I'll finish the song some other day. I quickly got ready for bed and fell into a dreamless sleep.

I heard my alarm start ringing so I got up and started getting ready. I have no idea why I was so cheery today. I'm so not a morning person but here I am hopping around my room. Then memories from yesterday flashes into my mind. That's right Adrian is going to take me on a date!!! Like I said, I have some serious issues.

I jogged down the stairs and everyone except Adrian was sitting at the table.

"Morning mum."

I kissed her cheek and then my dads.

"Mornin' daddy."

They all looked at me strangely but I just grinned and gave Alex a hug.

"Hey brother!"

"No offense sis but what's with the happy mood? We all know you aren't a morning person..."

Shit. I was stuck. I had no idea what to say.

"Uh...er...um..."

I was cut off my another voice joining the table.

"Hey princess sleep well?"

My smile widened even more if that was possible and I saw everyone looking at me strangely and Adrian smirking.

"Uh Kat why are you staring at Adrian like that?"

"I-I am not."

"Yes, yes your are love."

My mom replied. I scowled at them and sat down.

"Can't a person be happy for no reason?"

"No."

They all dead-panned except for Adrian he still had that god damned smirk on his face.

"Oh and princess our date is at 6:30 be ready."

He winked and I blushed while my mom squealed.

"Oh sweetie he's not joking right? You actually have a date?! Oh this so exciting!!!"

I groaned.

"Please mum..."

Then I got an idea.

"Hey Alex when is yours and Annie's date?"

"We'll she just came back from vacation last night so I was thinking in like two days?"

"Ok thanks!"

I quickly got up from the table and started putting on my shoes.

"Adrian consider today your first day of doing chores and farm work alone I have to go see Annie."

"What? You're leaving me all alone kit Kat? I'm hurt."

He faked by putting a hand on his chest. I rolled my eyes.

"Relax I'll help you finish up whatever you're gonna do last ok? I won't be too long I promise."

I smiled and he smiled back at me.

"See you later Cupcake."

"Seriously? Another one?"

He just shrugged and I walked out the door. I got into my truck and stared driving the 10 miles to Annie's house. When I got there she ran out the door and started squealing. I did the same and we met half way and crashed into a hug.

"Oh My Gosh! I missed you so much Kat!"

"I missed you too Ann!"

"I had so much fun! We went to the city and it was great! I also went to a beach and oh My good lord! So many hot guys! Ahh I think I died! But then I remembered Alex and u was like oh shit I can't be checking out hot guys I have Alex and he's going to take me on a date and I'm just so happy!"

She rambled and I laughed and we both walked inside.

"So Kat I hear there's a hunky piece of meat working at your farm with you."

"And who did you hear that from?"

"Stacey."

"You'd seriously listened to that whore? She bangs everything that walks."

"Yes but is he hot?"

"Yeah..."

"Ohh tell me ALL about him!"

"Well, his name is Adrian he has dark ebony hair and blue eyes. He's a bit bipolar.he has the asshole in him, arrogance in him, but also he can be incredibly sweet when he wants to. Oh and he's taking me on a date tonight."

Annie just gaped at me.

"I can't believe what I'm hearing... You. As in. Katherine sparks. You. Have. A. Date?! Oh he must be special!"

I blushed but smiled.

"You like him a lot huh."

"Yeah... I'm just scared."

"I know Kat. I just hope he doesn't hurt you. I know you can't handle much more heartbreak anymore."

I sighed sadly.

"I hope so too."

"Now lets have some bonding time sista! Lets get all happy instead of bein' sappy! I want to go ride some horses. But not now a bit later. Lets go to the waterfall and have a swim!"

"Ok you crazy woman lets go!"

She grinned and quickly got her stuff and we started driving to my house to get my swim suit.
