Chapter 23

My first single was exactly 3 weeks away from release. I was too excited, i was anxious to hear people's reaction.

But there was only one thing still having me down, Fredo wasn't out of his coma and it had been 2 days.

I've been to the hospital everday and i will be at the hospital everyday until he wakes up.

It was Monday, my mother's day off, which also means my brother would be here as well.

I came down to breakfast, i only drank some orange juice and grabbed a toast and headed for the door.

"Where are you going?" My mother asked.

"To the hospital to visit a friend"

"Oh ok, you coming back now"

"Not sure" i answered waiting for her to say something about it.

"Ok well um, say hi for me"

I turned around quickly with a confused look on my face.

"Wait really?"

"Yea" she smiled.

"Oh mom, i have something really good to tell you but when i get home we'll talk about it ok" I smiled.

"Ohk" she giggled while cutting tomatoes on the cutting board.

I got to the hospital and little girls were recognizing me, coming up to me asking to take pictures.

I guess this was how it was these days, no autographs, just pictures. Ok whatever.

When i stepped into the room there were multiple flowers and man and a woman standing over him.

"Hi" i came in and walked over to Fredo holding his hands.

"I guess you know Fredo" I smiled.

"Yea, more than know him" the lady answered with a smile.
"He's our son"

"Ohh wow, I'm sorry"

I was soo surprised, His parents were finally here. Last I heard they were looking a quick flight here.

"I guess YOU know Fredo" His father smiled.

"Umm yea we just became friends not too long ago" I smiled and walked over to the window.

"I guess he has alot of friends though" I said looking around the room.

"Did you say that because of all these flowers?" His mother asked.

"Yea" I smiled.

Why the fuck was i smiling so much?

"Ohh" his mother started laughing "the doctor said little young girls keep coming to drop them off, and i think i know why that is" she smiled why sitting.

"It's that Bieber boy, sweet child.. Always been a brother to our Fredo" She looked over at Fredo and held his hands.

I hurriedly walked up to her and held my hands out.

"Oh btw I'm Aaliyah"

"Nice to meet you dear, I'm nancy and this is Drew" she shook my hand.

Then i realized what she said..

"Wait really"

She giggled.

"No, I'm Marian and this is my husband Paul"

"How did you come up with the name Alfredo, its very unique and i can see it didn't come from both your names"

"A little secret, god told us" she leaned over to me and whispered.

"Marian stop playing with the young girl" Paul butted in.

I laughed and so did Marian.

"I actually found it in a book" she winked.

"We haven't seen Fredo since he moved to L.A, which is why we've decided to move him to a hospital in Brazil so we can be close to him.. Brazil is our home now, and we feel he hasn't lived it with us yet and this accident is a wake up call to show that, something can happen to anyone of us at any time and it'll be too late to say goodbye."

I laughed, they looked around at me with serious faces.

"Oh wow, you're serious"

"Yes, ofc we're serious"

"But thats like hours travel, can we manage that?"

"We've talked about it with his doctors and they said it would be safe and it would be a great idea"

"But we haven't even had our first date yet" I mumbled.

"What was that?" Marian asked.

"Umm, i said... When are you moving him?"

"Today" Paul answered.

"Does Justin know about this, they're like best friends, you do know that right?" I asked.

"Yea, he's been here this morning"

I sighed.

"Can i have a moment with him alone, please?" I asked.

"Why?" Marian joked.

"Marian lets go" Paul held her by her hands and took her out.

I sat beside Fredo and held his hands.

"So you're ditching me before we even go on our date.." I laughed. "You know its funny, its like I shouldn't date, like this is a sign or something.. But i would be unfair and selfish to make this about me, I understand what your mother is saying and honestly i think its a good idea.. You'll never know when is the last time you're seeing each other so you have to make the best of it.. And i hope you see this too when you wake and you're half way around the world in Brazil away from your friends, don't think about them, they'll be fine, we'll be fine.. Just spend some time with your family, cause at the end of the day, we all need our family..besides, look at the bright side, you can witness Olympics live.. It was nice knowing you Fredo" I smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

I walked out of the room and gave his parents a hug then headed straight for the exit...
