Today is my first day in Tokyo; I just moved here from a small town a few hours south. I'm currently having a really hard time with directions. I thought my new house was right down this street, but..

"All these damn houses look exactly the same!! Arghh!!" I yell furiously, as if almost trying to call for help. "Oh, whatever. It's not like I needed to get home yet, anyway." I notice a playground towards the left of me, and decide to sit on a swing for a bit.

I get to the swing and take a seat. I move slightly, keeping my feet to the ground the whole time. I've never been one to take any notice of my surroundings, so I usually space out. I was thinking about how I was going to get home, but my mind trailed off to something like look at that cloud. That cloud looks like a bunny.

As I sat there swinging, I hear a voice in the distance. My absent minded self didn't even bother to listen to the voice, but I was curious as to what it said. I turn my head just in time to get knocked backward.

What..? What happened? Everything's all fuzzy. Oh, I'm on the ground. Why? A ball..?

"Oh my God, are you okay? I'm so sorry! Here, let me help you up." A deep, raspy voice says to me as he reaches his hands down to help me up.

"...thanks, but..what happened?" I ask, seemingly oblivious, as this stranger helps me to my feet, and then to sit on the swings where he would sit next to me.

The tall, dark haired boy chuckles. "My friend and I were hitting a ball back and forth. I accidentally hit it too hard, and it happened to come your way. It hit you in the face and you fell off the swing," His voice becomes more serious and, surprisingly, softer "is your head okay? Not only from getting hit with a ball, but the fall looked pretty bad, as well."

I look around for a few moments, trying to comprehend the current situation. I feel my head for any bumps or headaches. "Yeah," I say nonchalantly, "I feel fine. If only getting hit in the head made me remember where my house went, but I'm totally okay, aside from that!" I smile widely, probably because of my nervousness, and maybe because I didn't want this stranger to keep talking to me..Well, maybe I did, though.

"What? You can't remember where you live?!" The boy seems to be panicking.

Of course I can't remember where I live; I just moved here a week ago! Oh, but..he doesn't know that, huh?

"Oh! Don't worry! That's not a big deal! I just moved here, so I forgot what house was mine. I've never been good at remembering addresses, and all the houses around here look the same. I went to walk around town for a few, to get used to the area, but I lost my way back." I frantically spit out the words in hopes of calming this poor kid down some.

He stares at me with a shocked look on his face, then sighs in relief, "thank God, I thought I gave you amnesia, or something!" The boy laughs a bit, then continues, "Oh, right. My name is Kuroo Tetsurou. If you can't remember that, just try to remember me as 'the kid who almost killed you with a volleyball at the playground that one time'. Should be easy enough, yeah?"

Kuroo..Tetsurou...this boy is tall, has dark, messy hair, and a smile that looks like it could make flowers bloom..I feel like I can trust him, but at the same time, he makes me feel sort of..uneasy, maybe?

After a short pause of me thinking to myself, I decide to introduce myself, too, "Ah, I'm (l/n) (f/n). It's nice to meet you! Or..is that the wrong term for formally introducing yourself to 'the boy who almost killed me with a volleyball'?" I give a small laugh, but it was loud enough to make the tall boy in front of me giggle.

"Oh, hey," I say suddenly, "you said you were playing with a friend, right? Where are they?"

He stares off to the woods behind me before saying, "Kenma? Hm..he was with me a few minutes ago...well, he's not very good with people, so I'm assuming he's hiding somewhere at this point." Once again, the boy chuckles a bit. "How about this: I quickly look for Kenma, you stay here, and I'll help you find your way home when I get back, alright?" He says this with a smirk that can make a girl's mind go to sinful places in an instant after seeing it.

"But what if you don't find him?" Of course now would be the time for my face to start turning red; him and that damn smirk of his..can't say I dislike it, though.

Kuroo watis a few seconds before replying. "Well, if I find him, I'll let him know I'm going to walk you home. Hearing that, he'll probably go back home, as well. If I don't find him, I'm guessing he's already left, then."

I nod in agreement while Kuroo gets up to look for Kenma. Like always, my mind trails off, and I begin to think about unnecessary things. Damn, I think to myself, Kuroo actually seems like a really nice guy. At first glance, he seems like a scary person, but the way he speaks completely makes up for that. Besides, he's totally good looking!

Drool begins to slip out of my mouth as I stare at him, eyeing his every move. He just looks so good walking around like that; with his messy hair, his red flannel shirt, black T-shirt underneath, his slightly ripped jeans, and of course that gorgeous smirk.

For obvious reasons, I've decided to cut out all of my..ahem..unholy thoughts. I mean, come on! Who thinks such things about people they've only just met; by coincidence, nonetheless?!

"Hey, now. Don't go spacing out on me." I hear the deep, raspy voice again, and it brings me back to reality; reality being I have drool all over my chin, and my face is just about as red as a tomato. I stumble on my words, and don't actually manage to say words at all; that didn't help with the whole 'tomato face' thing. Kuroo chuckles lightly, and asks, "ready to go on an adventure, milady?" He gives me that sly little smirk again, and reaches his hand down to me.

I smile at him; a smile that says a mix between "I'm happy that I met you" and "I want to have some fun". I grab ahold of his hand, he pulls me off the swing I had been sitting on the last half hour, and brings me close to him. I'm much shorter than he is, so my face comes up to his chest, but he so-kindly bends down some for me—which makes my heart beat really loud, and I'm positive he can hear it—and whispers "then lead the way, princess." If I wasn't already in heaven, I totally am now!
