The next morning, I awake to thirteen unread messages from Kuroo. I rub my eyes, and reach for my iPod, opening up the texts he sent me.

"Hey, sorry about yesterday," the texts reads. "Kenma called me, he needed help with something. It wasn't anything bad, but I'm the only one he could call for help."

Oh, he's okay, after all. I'm glad it wasn't something bad. That really puts my mind at ease.

I reply to his dozens of messages while adding sweet little smiley faces, and begin getting dressed for the new day.

"Hey, sleepy head", mom calls out to me as I come trudging down the stairs. Mom asks, with a suspiciously suggestive stare, "You look awful, haha! What exactly did you do yesterday?"

I roll my eyes at her, chuckling lightly, and say, "we just played volleyball for...a long, long time. It was exhausting, but that was the most fun I've had in awhile!" I smile wildly remembering the precious moments from the day before.

"Well," mom says softly, "take it easy on your date with him today. Don't do anything that'll make your body hurt any more."

"W-wait, how did you know we were going on a date today?" I ask with a generous amount of concern, and embarrassment, in my voice.

Mom places my breakfast on the table in front of me, and tells me, "please, I heard your iPod going off all morning. I might have seen one that said something along the lines of 'I can't wait to see you today! Date number two', haha~" she laughs heartily.

I stare blankly at her for a few moments. "Hm. Alright, yeah, that's a pretty decent hint, I guess," I say laughing.

Breakfast was finally over, and I had left on my day's journey to see my date. As I was walking down to the park, I saw the cutest black kitten.

"Wahh!! Hello cute baby!!" I exclaimed. "Where is your family, kitty? You seem so lost.." I began to pet the cat, and he purrs and cuddles against me.

How cute! This kitty reminds me of someone..haha. Looks like a dangerous stray cat, but he's so warm, soft, and affectionate!

"What's this? Am I being replaced?" I hear a familiar voice from behind me. "Yo~" Kuroo says in a cool way.

I turn around to see him, and I smile warmly toward him. "No one can ever replace you, kitten~" I say slyly. "Oh, no one can replace you, either, Kuroo-san." I giggle at my own joke, while Kuroo just shows me a little pouty face.

I continue my quiet giggling as Kuroo walks up to me. When he's standing in front of me, I gaze over at him before he gently puts his right hand on my chin to turn my face towards his, while his left hand grabs my back and roughly brings my body close to his.

"Hey, you'd better not go and replace me before I get to properly ask you out, got it?" He smirks at me, as his lips linger just above mine.

Woah...I thought I was going to be okay today. I thought I wouldn't be nervous around him today...I was...so, so wrong.

I stare up at him, his body still pressed tightly against my own. I feel my face get really warm, but I don't move from my position.

"...then what are you waiting for?" I ask him, giving him my own smirk back.

He seems thrown off by my lack of nervousness, and his face suddenly retracts slightly.

He chuckles lightly, then says, "damn, what's with the unexpected confidence? I was hoping you'd get all shy, but it seems the tables have turned, haha." He turns his head to the side, showing my the side of his face that his hair covers.

He's trying to hide his blush! Good thing his hair isn't long enough to cover it all~

"Oho~ is someone blushing because of my question~?" I tease. "Kuroo-san, you should really show me this side of you more often. I could really get used to it, you know~♡" I say, trying (and failing) to hide my excitement.

"...anyway!" Kuroo says loudly. "Today, I'm taking you on a real date, so be prepared to have fun!" He proclaims, as he let's go of me and turns so I see only his back.

I smile widely, and skip to his side to grab ahold of his arm. "Take me anywhere. I'll follow you wherever you go." I mutter just loud enough for only Kuroo to hear, then I lean my head tenderly against his shoulder.

He smiles down at me, and places a soft kiss on the top of my head. "Then, let's go on a real date~♡" he says cutely.

We walk for awhile, arms interlocked, and wander around the town looking for fun places to go.

"Oh, how about there?" Kuroo points to a cafe at the end of the street. "Kenma and I go there sometimes. There's a really cool arcade inside, so I can guarantee we'll have fun in there!" He exclaims happily.

"Sounds good," I reply, "but I want a coffee. And it has to be really sweet...I like coffee." I claim, cutely.

"Haha, deal", Kuroo laughs. He pulls me delicately into the cafe.

"Welcome! Table for two?" The lady at the front desk asks us.

"Yes, thank you~" Kuroo purrs. "Ladies first, princess~" he tells me with that smirk again.

When we get to our table, we order our coffees. Of course, I picked one that was really sweet, but Kuroo picked one that was slightly more on the bitter side.

The two of us drink our coffee, and have a nice light conversation; we talk about our families, where we grew up, and fun things about our past. When we finished our coffees, we headed over to the arcade.

"Alright!" I yell with excitement. "Let the games begin, kitty~" I say teasingly.

Kuroo smirks devilishly at me, and hums. "Bring it on, m'lady~"

A/N: anyone notice that unintentional Miraculous Ladybug reference right here?^^
