Chapter 26: Heartbeat

Actually, our winter stay at I.M's didn't go well.

On our first night there, a blizzard struck the area so we had to stay indoors to keep warm.

I think we went back to being kids during our stay there because we just played a lot of games, especially hide and seek!

Since obviously, we can't just play all day, we did a movie marathon and unfortunately for Jooheon, it was a horror movie which we decided to watch first: Insidious (the first one). Hahaha! We made him sit in the middle only for both Kihyun and Hyungwon to scare him from behind! Hahaha! We picked the next movies randomly; when Frozen was chosen by Minhyuk, his argument with (your best friend's name) over his alien-like Olaf snowman the other day flared up again. When a romantic film was picked by Kihyun, everyone kinda like moved away from me and Minhyuk! The nerve of these people!

The blizzard, well... it lasted until our last night there.

"I'm sorry guys." said I.M. "This isn't how I planned it to be."

"It's fine, really. You shouldn't blame yourself. You didn't see the blizzard coming." said Shownu.

"Besides, we all had fun while in your villa!" said Kihyun.

"Really?" he asked.

"Of course! Thanks for inviting us. Maybe next year would be a better time though." said Wonho.

A few days passed and we all welcomed the New Year at a restaurant. I.M treated us because he still regrets what happened during our stay at their villa. While we were all watching the fireworks display on the restaurant's upper area, Minhyuk whispered to me: "Let's go down for a while."

We slipped out of the crowd and went down where we found ourselves alone.

"What is it?" I asked.

He smiled and pulled me to a hallway. He the pointed above us: there was a mistletoe.

"Minhyuk!..."

"I know we kissed during Christmas but, I felt like we have to do it properly under that." He pointed up again.

I laughed a bit. "Are you serious?" I asked.

"Yes! I saw this movie years ago... uh... what was that movie again?... It was a high school and then they were all singing..."

"You watched High School Musical?"

"Yes... Is there something wrong?" he asked.

"No there's nothing wrong! But they didn't kiss under a mistletoe though...Hahaha, I just found it cute..." I smiled. "So are we just going to stand here?"

"Well, no." He stepped closer, placed his hands behind me and pulled me in for a kiss.

HYUNGWON'S POV

"Hey, where's Minhyuk and (your name)?" I asked. "The best part is about to start!"

"Maybe they went downstairs to get something to drink." said I.M.

I decided to go downstairs. There wasn't anybody there. I looked around and walked a bit until...

"Heol."

I saw them both by the hallway, kissing under the mistletoe.

I stood there while slowly grabbing my phone, positioning it and then snap!
