Chapter 32: No Exit

"Okay so before we all leave, it's time for me to announce the members of our country's delegation to the United Nations General Assembly!"

Everyone inside the office began applauding and whispering as well.

Kihyun, Minkyun and I looked at each other. We're all nervous. We did our best.

"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll be chosen!" said Minkyun.

"Yeah, just think positive." said Kihyun.

I nodded and smiled. "I really hope you two are right!"

Our head began reading from the list. When she said one name, the person would go stand in front.

"Lee Taeyong!"

"Waah! Congratulations!" I told him as I patted him on the back.

"Thanks!" he replied as he went in front.

"And now, the last three members..."

An hour later, back at my apartment.

Wonho arrived and ran to hug me!

"Yah! What's this all about?! Hahaha!"

"I have good news!" he said.

"Really? Me too!"

"What? How come you didn't call to tell me?"

"I wanted to surprise you! But what's your good news first?"

"No you go first!"

"No, you!"

"(your name)! You go first!"

"How about we both say it at the same time?"

"Sure!"

"At the count of three! One, two, three!..."

"I've been chosen to go to New York for the UN General Assembly!"

"NUBOYZ is having a concert in New York's Madison Square Garden!"

"WE'RE BOTH GOING TO NEW YORK?!" We both hugged each other!

"That's just amazing! You and the others performing at Madison Square Garden!" I told him.

"And for you to got chosen to go to the UN! I'm so proud of you! Wait, what about Kihyun and Minkyun?"

"They're going too!"

"Wow! That's great! So, when are you leaving?" he asks me while we sat on the bed.

"Next week!"

"What?! We're leaving next week as well! What day? Don't tell me it's Monday."

I smiled while nodding. He hugged me again.

"Yah, we should be on the same flight AND the same hotel room, okay?"

"Okay Wonho, I'll explain to our head. I'm sure she'll understand."

"Is that Taeyong going too?"

"Yah, he just got married a month ago. Don't get started with that topic again."

"I'm just kidding! Hahaha!"

We both called our parents soon after to tell them we're going to New York next week. They said they were very happy for the two of us and that we should be careful and stay close to each other. I told them not to worry.

We spent the week getting ready. We bought all the things we had to bring, making sure we didn't leave a single thing left behind; Wonho and the rest of NUBOYZ practiced hard so that they would give a great performance while Kihyun, Minkyun and I prepared and arranged all the necessary documents, papers that our delegation would be bringing.
