Chapter 17: Gran Torino

Reader's POV

It's the rest of last week's class and we're all kinda excited!

"Your field training will be one week long. These are all good working places." Aizawa explains and lifts one of the paper sheets up in the air. Everyone's discusing what they want to do, from saving people to fighting villains. I smile cheerfully and tap Katsuki's shoulder, he turns around and grins at me. "What's up, dork?" I smile at his compliment, "What will you choose Katsuki?" Before he could say anything Midorya walks towards us, inturapting our conversation.

From the corner of my eyes I see Katsuki make a 'tch' sound and grit his teeth when Midorya takes my hand into his own and pulls me towards the doors. H-Hey w-what's with Midorya? W-Why's he holding my hand!? My cheeks explode in million shades of red. He opens the door and a certain-sonic-like-yellow-haired man comes sliding in front of us, bowing and sweating hard. I look at All Might, Wonder what happened?

"I-I have come and in an uncharacteristic pose!" That you did, big bro, that you did... "Bro y-you seem nervous! What's wrong?" All Might starts to walk away from the class and we follow him. "Midorya, you got a nomination and (Y/N) you got a special nomination from the same person as Midorya." I look up at All Might confused, then my eyes go wide and I silently whisper, "N-No... don't tell me..." Yes... Gran Torino..." Bro says frightened and shakes more. I laugh awkwardly while stretching out my arms, "That's not something you joke about All Might!" He stops and turns to me and I scream a high pitched scream. He's not joking! He's not joking!!! Midorya hold me up as I start to fall down, "(Y-Y/N)?!" I shake in terror and my eyes are lookin into the distance, "No... no.. no. No! No!" I start to shout. "A-All Might!?" Midorya yells to All Might in confusion for help. I pull on his sleeve and his scared head snaps to me, "M-Midorya... snap my neck..." I plead with tears running down my cheeks. "(Y-Y/N)!!!!!"

☆The Day Of Job Training Day☆

"You've all got your suits right?" Aizawa checks as we all answered with a yes, "Remember not to lose your cases with your clothing!"

We're all on our own, well exept me and Midorya, I mean I couldn't leave him alone with that short sonic dwarf.

I see Iida walk silently away from us without even saying anything, not even a bye to us. Iida... I run towards him, "Tenya! Tenya!" I yell, trying desperately to get his attention. Finally, after yelling his name sometimes more he turns around, "What is it, (Y/N)?" I stop running and look at him, "Look. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you... but I want you to know something!" I take deep breath, "You don't need to fight it alone! I can help you! But we all need you to tell us..." he pats my head and smiles, "Thank you. But I really am fine." He lets go of me and walks back to where he was ment to go. Oh how I fish I could stop him at that time.

Midorya calls for me, saying that we need to get going. I glance at Iida's back which was slowly fadiing away duo to the big crowd of people. I turn back to Midorya's way and start walking with him to our mentor.

I'm worried about Tenya, I mean not just a little bit but a lot! I heard that his brother got attacked by Stain, a slaughter machine. He didn't get killed luckily, but he won't be able to be a hero anymore. I stop for a second and Midorya looks at me but I don't look back at him like I would usually. I cry. T-Tenya... I'm so sorry I wasn't there to help him... I'm so so sorry... Maybe I could have helped him...! "Hey it's okay!" Midorya says and touches my shoulder, making me look up at him. He smiles kindly, he knows what's happening in my head. "Don't blame yourself over what happened to Tenya's brother." He smiles and pulls me into a hug. H-He never hugged me before... He's so warm thought... I smile gently and wipe my tears away, "Yeah! Let's just go on. We're not far from where he lives anymore."
