Chapter 19: Better Times

"G-Gaah!" The girls moans as Gran Torino's foot that's in the size of her face hits her. In shock she lets go of the rope that was tied around the knocked out villain. She held her nose in pain, her (E/C) eyes, now shut in pain, started to create tiny tears as the old man scolded her and her three friends.

The flames that ignited in a tall building simmered down by now but still, one more Noumu was on the loose, ready to make it's move at any second and killing one of the kids with just one good attack.

"Well, (Y/N), I'm glad that you're all fine in the end." The small old man says, standing in front of the now shaking female that's crouching down in front of all present heros.

The black angel like wings are gone now and so are her crimson eyes but her body grew weak, after all she isn't in full control of the usage of her powers yet. Her head hung low and her (h/c) bangs covered her beatiful face with little scratches mainly around her (s/c) cheeks. Everyone talked, they were all relieved that they survived that fatal attack but noone could see a small smile of happiness form on her face.

You stand up slowly and carefully. Shaking your head to try to relax, you don't see any reason to be anxious anymore, the murderer was captured.

You hobble for the first few steps towards your dear friend, Tenya Iida. He's risked his life today, for something that seems rather stupid and reckless in your head but you know how important that must have been for him. Before you could touch his arm he bows deeply, taking all of you by surprise.

"All of you..." he says as he cleanches his eyes close. He himself couldn't deny the feelings of regret, guilt and anger. All of you could have died right there because of him. That's something he can't forgive himself for almost letting happen. But you being you wrapped your hands around his tall figure. You did not need to say anything nor did you want to. You want to listen to what he wants to say.

He shakes as soon as he feels your warm hands wrap around him and imidiately burries his face in the crook of your warm neck, suprisingly feeling safe. Tears now run down his smooth cheek and onto your shirt as he weeps. "I-I became so blind..."

Hearing his cries shattered your heart, you two didn't talk a lot but still he's one of few rare people you admire and hearing his voice crack in pain brings your tears to the surface.

Todoroki with his voice emotionless as usual speaks up to the Class President. "Pull yourself together, you're the leader of our class." Your sparkling eyes find the cold ones of the boy standing on your left side. Shesh, Todoroki. It wouldn't be bad to care sometimes y'know.

You feel Iida's soft skin leave your shoulder, looking back at him you see him wipping his tears away. "Right." He says and you smile proudly at him, "You know you're actually a hero." Your eyes are fixed on his dark navy blue hair. His head pearks up at you, surprised at your words. "You saved that Pro hero guy today, Iida. Without you he would've died. You did a good job." You flash a proud smile and show him a thumbs up sign with your right hand which was still cowered in your dried blood.

Suddenly just as it seemed like the battle was over for you a large creature with wings flies towards your group. You take a quick glance at it before Gran Turino could shout out a loud warning. Your reflexes kick in and you duck and hold tightly to the ground. The creature that's attacking you again looks like some kind of a hybrid. It's skin was light ivory colored and it's body, from it's head down to the legs, looked like it belonged to a human but it's head was split open, showing it's brains and a pair of eyes that were drawn to it's human target.

As you ducked under it's attack it missed you but the disturbing creature didn't go for another try, instead it grabbed Midorya who was, with his bad luck, standing right behind you.
