"Vanessa, just ignore them, they're just cute immature guys." , I was trying to explain to Nessa that she shouldn't take their comments to heart as we waited outside for the school to open.

"Okay, but i cant get it out of my head. Guys always do this"

"Well boys are dumb so.."

We all started laughing at Janice and her blunt honesty, til Melissa sobered up.

"Nessa, just let it go. It's been two days and you are short, so live with it."

"Thanks Lissa, that makes me feel so much better.", Nessa responded while rolling her eyes in annoyance.

The bell had rung to allow us inside so Nessa and i went to the band room, because I was in search of Donnie. Melissa and Janice had went to the library to catch up on late homework. There were so many kids in the band room, I never really paid much mind to it until now, i was lost but walking around with Nessa I eventually found Donnie at the piano in his favorite blue jacket.

I came up behind him quietly and surprised him with my "Hi", making him jump a little though when he saw my face his smile broke out causing an affect on my face.

"Hey , you look nice today" , he said while eying me from head to toe.

"Anyway what were you playing on the piano?", Nessa said feeling awkward in the presence.

"Well Vanessa, hear it and guess" he replied to Nessa with mystery and amusement in his voice before he started playing a song that sounded familiar to me.

I listened to the song carefully and had to think really hard since my brain wasn't processing fast enough and looking at Nessa, she had the same thinking face on as I had. This song sounded so familiar, the name was on the tip of my tongue and I started humming the song till lyrics started flowing.

and I'm so dizzy, don't know what hit me.."

Thats as far as I got before Nessa literally yelled out and started singing.

"Oh, Oh it by that John guy!" , I immediately started laughing, I loved when Nessa just yells or says the first thing on her mind. Its her and her unique outburst that makes us even closer as friends, I can even say Ive developed that from her after some time.

"Oh! All of me by John Legend! Woot!" I yelled out the answer and hi-fived Vanessa at the accomplishment our brains had made together.

Donnie had a wide smile on his face as he continued to play the song and I sung the lyrics with Nessa until she tried to hit the high note and that was our cue to stop. Her screeching had the entire band room looking at us and I immediately hid my face while facing the wall.

Donnie was laughing at us and Vanessa decided to press random piano keys and that was tempting so I joined her until one of the guys, in the band room, decided to play the drums and drown us out.

"What the heck! Hes playing so loud, I cant hear the keys!I was jammin' out"

"Well, Nessa we weren't that good and I didn't even know you were playing a song." Before Vanessa could make a comeback, The bell had rung to go to class and we went out the back door with Don walking behind me, holding my hand.
