"A hundred years passed and my brother I discovered the new Avatar, an air—"

I groaned out loud as I quickly whacked my hand against my head as my mind went on it's usual trip off to the unconscious.

"I swear this happens every time I start on you", I say pointing at my homework in anger, clearly blaming it for my consistent procrastination. Thus giving me the idea to text Nessa and bother her instead.

Me: Nessa

Nessa

Nessa

VANESSA!!!

Nessie<3: WHAT?

Me: Hi

Nessie<3: seriously?

Me: What's wrong?

Nessie<3: Nun

Me: Stop lying

Nessie<3: forget about it

*** 5 Mins Later ***

Me: Okay I forgot, now tell me

Nessie<3: (-_-)

Me: Luv ya too now tell me

Nessie<3: I'm single pringle, now I need a drink

Me: first of all, you can't drink

And what the hell happened between you and Nathan?

Nessie<3: We broke up it's fine

Me: uhh... you sure?

Nessie<3: Yeah im good

Me: MKay

Did you watch PLL?!?

Nessie<3: OMG yesss!

I tug on the ends of my leather jacket as the cool fall air seeps it way from beneath me. Walking through the doors of school, my face turn stone cold with hatred for the morning time.

"Hey Ms. Davnes", I said with a small smile

"Good Morning Sweet pea", She replied with a wide smile and wave along with the other art teachers. I will still never understand how many teachers seem so bright in morning, even if it's just for show.

Turning the corner, I walk to the gang's usual spot in the art room where I spot Nessa.

"Hey girl wassup!",I began walking toward her until I recognized bundles of tissue in her hands.

"Nessa you okay?", She was still quiet and not responding just sniffling way more than usual.

"Hey...", I reach out to turn her around and see tears strolling down her face

"What happened Nes?", I said with full concerned etched on my face especially since no one else has seemed to notice her standing here alone.

"I'm just now realizing me and Nathan broke up" , she replied with sorrow laced in her voice.

I looked around in a quick worry as I pat her back with the upmost comfort I could give. I mean don't get me wrong we honestly care about each other, we're basically family but hugs aren't exactly something we do. Panic starts to rise within me as I look toward the door in hopes that our friends come soon because this is an awkward mess.

I eventually give in seeming as our friends are slow arses. I wrap Vanessa in my arms trying to comfort her as best as I can, considering this new-found territory. Nessa even feels the awkwardness as she starts to laugh a little bit.

"Yeah, where's lissa because this is weird as hell", we both start laughing as she gently pushes me off her in an attempt at escape.

Walking into math everyday with the same school routine is honestly tiring, but the company makes it way better than the normal. Company, that would be great to have and to my luck I exactly have none.

I slowly turned my head to the empty seat next to me as the words of my teacher began to drown in the silence of my thoughts.

This is exactly what happened for the next nine days where I had no one to talk to since I didn't exactly make friends in this particular class.

I instinctively looked up to see Don slightly waving at me as he came walking up to me in the middle of lunch, two weeks since I've seen him last.

"Hey Donnie, why so sad?", I said as I reached out toward his hand. Pulling him down, he sits next to me and starts to cuddle against me whilst unexpectedly apologizing to me.

"I'm sorry I've been gone for a while and not texting you back. I found out my grandpa died" , that's when my face immediately dropped and I took him into my arms as he body slowly began shaking.

Many people started to stare considering we were in front of the school, but I just gave each of then menacing glares with Rayshon and Vanessa eventually walking up behind the somewhat of a crowd.

"Y'all look real comfortable there"

"What's wrong with him?"
"Vanessa you ask a lot of questions"

"Oh shut up, you're just watching because you wanna join in"

"Well we see what you like thinking about", I rolled my eyes at both of them going back and forth.

"Both of you are annoying me"

"Eh, I've heard worse being said to me", Nessa shrugged and laughed at her sarcastic remark as Rayshon silently agreed with her.

Turning my head back to Don, I took two fingers under his chin and raised his head up higher.

"Donnie, the bell's gonna ring soon. Are you gonna be okay today?"

"Yeah, I'll be okay just counting down the minutes before I can see again", he replied with a sad by sly grin.

"Alright smooth talker, let's go", with my playful tone, we rose up and started walking to class after Don unexpectingly kissed my cheek with our hands intertwined.

 

Little did I know, things were only going to surprise me from now on.

I never know when I'm going to update so just bare with me and you'll probably see random uploads. I'm not very organized when it comes to updating this story but I'm better than before.
