Chapter 7

Meek
I watched as the passenger door opened a second before the car crashed. I watched as Nicki's tiny body jumped into the grass.

I quickly stopped the car. I hopped out of the car and ran over to Nicki.
I helped her up as she threw her arms around my neck. I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her in closer. I kissed her lips softly.

"Oh my Gosh." She breathed out.

I looked over at her, seeing that her nose was busted and her arm had a few cuts on it from the jump. Nothing to bad, it'll heal up. I'm just happy she's alive.

We stood there hugging. We parted when I felt Papi hug our legs. Nicki looked down at Papi before she bent to his level.

"I missed you so much Pap." Nicki hugged him extremely tight. "Are you okay?" She asked

"I missed you too Ms.Nicki. I'm okay." Papi smiled. I looked over the both of them seeing Omelly checking out Tyrone's car. Tyrone's face was covered in bloody glass while his head was on the steering wheel. He had a broken nose. Looked as if he arm was broke from the position. I didn't see his body moving up and down, he wasn't breathing.
He was dead.

He opened the back door of the car.
I chuckled when he walked away with the bag of money.

"This fool." I shook my head.

Nicki stood back to her normal height. I kissed her again after we stood there staring at each other.

"Let's go before these nosey ass neighbors call 12." Omelly said walking around us.

We all got into the car and headed to our spot.

"Papi go sit over there." I told Papi as Omelly and I stood around the table.

"This nigga made us rich." Omelly said rubbing his hands together and looking over all the money.

I watched as Papi and Nicki sat there holding each other. I walked over to them.

"Y'all good?" I asked as I rubbed Papi's head.

"We're fine." Nicki gave me a faint smile.

I sat beside her and pulled Papi onto my lap. He laid his head on my chest as Nicki laid her head on my shoulder. I wrapped one arm around her and the other around Papi.

"We love you daddy." Papi said before closing his eyes.

"I love y'all too." I kissed both of their foreheads. "I'm glad I got my family back"

One week later

" We often try to ignore our difficult issues with distractions during the day but when we are asleep and are forced to be alone in our own heads, these difficult issues will be addressed "

"You seeing other niggas?!" I just stood there "Hmm?" He breathed out standing over me.

"No, I'm not seeing other people Tyrone." I rolled my eyes, He started to walk away. "I wish I were." I mumbled under my breath, playing with the ends of my hair.

"What was that bitch?!" He turned back around

"Nothing Tyrone I said I'm not seein-" before I could get my whole sentence out, his hand went across my face.

I look up seeing angry in his face. The meanest mug was on his face. I didn't want to be apart of nothing he had going on at the moment.

I tried walking away to avoid any problems with him. I made little of the situation cause he had done worst to me than a slap to the face.

"Where yo Hoe ass going?" He yanked me up by my arm. I broke out of his tight grip "yeah. You going to see that nigga. When I find out who he is it's over."

I keep walking when a smirk appeared on my face. "He isn't hard to find." I giggled
The giggled ceased

I gasped feeling my body slam hard against the wooden floors. His hand around my neck, the other one sending blows after blows to my already red face.

"Tyrone Stop!" I cried out

He beat me until I was unable to fight back. Tear stained face, Busted lip, Bruised skin, ripped out hair, bleeding nose.... Nothing made him stop.

Frightening Detailed images Went through my head.

Meek
I was woken by Nicki tossing and turning. Her breathing was heavy. I've read somewhere that you don't wake up someone while they're having a nightmare, just let them wake up. But I couldn't help it, I had to comfort her.  I rubbed her lower back in circles hoping i was soothing her. She jumped out of her sleep with sweat on her face & Warm tears. The sweat and Tears blended together. Her eyes were huge once they opened. She stared at me like she was trying to see who  I was , Once it clicked she started to talk. "I'm s-sorry meek I didn't mean for all of this to happen" she says breaking down in my chest. I wrapped my arms around her as she breathed hard. "Nicki, Stop blaming yourself baby." I kissed her head. "B-but it is meek.. I-Im the one who got u-us.."

"Shh." I hushed her up because I hate seeing her like this. She was hyperventilating. I told her to breath and calm down.

Once she was calm down I started to talk.
"Baby, I don't blame you for anything that happened. I will never blame you.. I love you way too much to blame you for anything." I took the covers off of us so she'd cool off.

"I fail at everything I do meek." I wiped her tears

"No you don't Nic, You're perfect in my eyes. I don't want to hear negative words coming from your mouth , Okay?"

"Why do you put up with me? I'm a mess. Everyone hates me." She cried

"No one hates you Nicki. You're a Angel in everybody's eyes. Papi loves you .. I love you,  Everyone adores you." I spoke to her hoping that she'd take in what I was saying.

She stayed quiet and held onto me tighter.

I looked around the dark room.
"Go back to sleep." I placed a kiss on her soft lips

"Papi where's a place we should take Ms.Nicki.?" I asked papi as we sat in the living room watching TV. Nicki was upstairs sleeping.

"Why's she leaving?" He asked sounding sad

"We are all going.. Plus Nicki need to clear her head."

"Okay well Um.. California." He smiled up at me

"You're saying Cali for Nicki or for yourself?" He laughed

"Ms.Nicki dad." He said after playfully shoving me

"Okay, California it is." I got up
"Go start packing, we're leaving soon."

"Forreal?!" He jumped up off of the sofa excited

"Nawl, for Play Play." He stared at me

"Now go get your clothes ready boy." He started to run off

"aye!" He paused for a second then turned around "don't tell her, it's a surprise."

He made a clicking sound with his mouth before winking "gotcha." He continued his journey up the stairs.
