Chapter 19

Nicki
One week later
Meek's mother, Kathy was on her way now. It was around 9 in the morning & her plane had just landed.

"Gma coming! gma coming! gma coming!" Papi ran around the house yelling

"Ima tell her how bad you've been." He stopped running then stared at me

"You wouldn't."

"I would." I giggled and he unfroze

We had a whole staring contest.
"This is exasperating." He placed his palm on his forehead and I giggled

"I have to bathe." He said and I looked over at him and he was shirtless

"Yeah go ahead and do that..You need it badly." I joked and he gave me a side eye before going upstairs

I sat on the couch and I watched a bit of television a few minutes later, I heard The doorbell rung

"She's hereee!" I heard papi yell from the bathroom and I quickly made my way to the front door

"Heyyyy," she said happily as soon as I opened the front door

"Hiii," I hugged her then we pulled away after a few minutes.

She was standing with a box in her hand "this was on the porch Nicki." She handed it to me and I shook my head with an eye roll. I shook the box lightly and I knew it was a sheet of paper

I tossed it in garbage that stood on the side of the front porch.

"Won't be needing that. Your hat is so cute Kathy." I said looking at her big hat

"Awh thank you so much Nicki," she walked in all the way "I just threw it on, I knew it would've been sunny out here." She said

"Yes, it's a lot of sun." I said closing the front door after we walked in

"Ooh, this is so nice." She cooed looking around the house "I absolutely love it."

"Yeah it is. It's pretty big too. I'll show you around once you get situated." She nodded

"And it smells good."she said and I blushed "you cooked?" She grinned

"I made chicken salad, you're the one who taught me how to do it. it came out pretty good too."

"I'll have to taste some , Where's rihmeek?" She questioned

"In here!!!" We both chuckled at him answering her

"In the tub." She nodded

I helped her get situated in the room that she'll be staying in.

she came in the living room eating some of the salad I cooked earlier & we talked about places we can go while she's here.

"Yeah that seems fun." I agreed

"So, Nicki...You talked to your mom?" She asked and I sighed

"She called me telling me to tell you to answer her calls." She finished

"No, I don't want nothing to do with her."
I said simply

My mom and I fell out awhile back for a stupid reason. She didn't accept the fact that I was  dating meek. I never knew her reason for not liking him because I really didn't care.

"Why are you answering her calls anyways?"

"Me and her didn't fall out. I never had a reason to dislike her. Just because she didn't like meek but it's not that big to hate her. And you shouldn't either. We know you was happy with him and she's gonna have to just accept that."
