One week ago, I hated him. One week ago, he hated me...

I have no idea why I have agreed to this. I, Lyric Lawrence who loves the life of being single have agreed to this. I'm going to get so stressed out my strawberry-blonde hair will go grey. I have agreed to get married.

Before you freak out let me explain. I'm only 18, I'm not actually getting married. It's a social experiment some filmmakers are doing. Apparently it's supposed to be about the way 2 people can get to know each other or something stupid like that. Yes, I did have a choice not to do this. But honestly I'm not doing anything in my life right now so why not? Today is the day I will be meeting the guy that I will be "married" to for the next week. I'm just enjoying these last few hours of solitude in my bedroom-

"Lyric! Do you need me to drive you to the coffee shop?" I threw my pen across the room in surprise as my roommate April bounded into our dorm at full speed.

"April! I was writing, you scared me half to death." I breathed, flipping my long hair of my eyes. Sometimes I really hate my hair, it's extremely straight and goes down to my mid-thighs. Although the strawberry colour does show off my bright blue eyes and freckles.

"Sorry, we got to get you over there. Also, did you remember to take your meds this morning?" April asked, shit. I forgot again. Sometimes April is like a mom but I love her anyways. I used to have really bad epilepsy but it's getting better now that my hormones have finally chilled out. But I still need to take them just in case you know.

"Yeah I'm ready to go I think." I said avoiding answering her question. Today I was wearing a green and pink sundress with brown combat boots. My hair was in a braid down my back, reaching my butt.

"Okay, I'll meet you in the car then." April said with her eyebrows raised as she walked out of the room. I looked in the mirror and brushed my bangs from my face and took a deep breath. It's just for a week I thought. Then I went to find April.

'The meeting with the filmmakers and this guy was at a small coffee shop about 10 minutes away. We arrived at the shop about 3 minutes before 4 so I was a little bit early. April glided her car along to curb and parked, she then turned to look at me.

"You ready? Call me if you need anything alright?" I nodded in response and got out of the little blue Mercedes and into the hot California heat. I walked into the coffee shop and the little bell dinged.
