TEN YEARS LATER

"MOMMY?!" My daughter Mia yelled from the living room.

"Coming honey!" I yelled back, walking out of my bedroom and through the new apartment, attempting to maneuver through the boxes. I stepped into the living room to find Mia sitting amongst a pile of Barbies.

"What's up hon?" I asked, kneeling down next to Mia. She stared up at me with her bright blue eyes. Her eyes match mine, but she has the same skin and hair as her father.

"How did you and Daddy meet?" Mia asked. Before I could answer the front door swung open.

"I'm HOME!!" Ender screamed into the apartment. Mia squealed and did that little 5 year old waddle up to Ender, who swept her up into his arms and hugging her tight. "Hey Mia! What did you do today?"

"I went to school and then I came home and helped mommy." Mia replied.

"Oh! You did, did you? Where is mommy?" Ender asked before setting Mia down. She waddled back over to her Barbies. Ender sauntered over to me and pulled me close.

"How was your day love?" He asked into my neck.

"Just tried to finish unpacking." I said, blowing my bangs from my forehead. But then I remembered Mia's question.

"Mia!" I called. "Want to ask daddy what you asked me?" Mia came bounding into the room, her tutu flopping.

"I asked mommy how she met you daddy!" Mia giggled. I gave Ender a look, but he was just smiling. He reached out and moved a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Come on Mia. I have a movie to show you." Ender said, kissing my cheek and leading Mia away.
