A little after Tris's interrogation I see Uriah in the hallways, walking alone. Just the person I need to see. I say to myself.
"Hey Uri." I say, calling him by his nickname. I know he'll answer now - he hates when people call him that.
"Hi Four. What's up? And stop calling me Uri." He says, narrowing his eyes as he walks over to where I'm standing.
"I need you to pass a message on to Tris." I tell him.
He raises an eyebrow. "What kind of message?"
"Tell her to meet me at about ten on Millennium Park's lawn."
"Isn't your mom watching your every move or something?" He questions.
"Sort of, but I have ways to get around that." I say. "Can you just tell her please?"
"Sure thing." He says, smirking like he knows something heated might happen.
I don't object to it. After all, this will be the first moment alone we've had in a while.
Anything could happen.

I'm standing in the shadows at Millennium Park, the cold air seeping through the fabric of my black sweatshirt despite my shirt underneath. It's a little after ten and I'm waiting for Tris to show up. My backpack full of snacks is at my feet.
I look up for the millionth time it seems and that's when I see her. She's pulling her sleeves over her hands, most likely to keep them warm. She's wearing a long sleeved black shirt and dark red pants. The colors look weird together, especially on her, but she could say the same about me with my black sweatshirt and blue jeans. Up until about a week ago I didn't even know what blue jeans were.
"How did I do?" She asks once she's in earshot. I know she's referring to the interrogation.
"Very well," I say. "Evelyn still hates you, but Christina and Cara have been released without questioning."
"Good." She says and smiles.
And that's as long as I can go without touching her.
I pinch the front of her shirt, right over her stomach, and tug her towards me, kissing gently.
When I pull away I say, "Come on, I have a plan for this evening."
She smirks. "Oh really?"
"Yes, well, I realized that we've never been on an actual date." I almost laugh at how cheesy I must sound.
"Chaos and destruction do tend to take away a person's dating possibilities."
"I would like to experience this 'date' phenomenon." I say as an attempt at flirting and start walking backwards towards the metal structure at the end of the lawn, our destination. Just as Tris begins following me, I say, "Before you, I only went on group dates, and they were usually a disaster. They always ended up with Zeke making out with whatever girl he intended to make out with, and me sitting in awkward silence with some girl that I had somehow offended in some way early on."
"You're not very nice," She says, grinning.
"You're one to talk."
"Hey, I could be nice if I tried."
"Hmm..." I tap my chin. "Say something nice, then."
"You're very good-looking."
I smile what is probably the biggest smile I've ever smiled in my life, teeth and all. I probably look like a little kid. Good thing it's dark. "I like this 'nice' thing." I say.
