Looking Out

After the somewhat touching moment between Evelyn and I passed, I left the hospital to go help Uriah clean up the wreckage from the rally.

He's already there, moving the faction bowls to a somewhat secluded and hidden place behind Erudite headquarters. Something tells me he doesn't exactly want the factions gone either.

"Hey Uri." I say, going over to help him with the Amity bowl.  It reminds me of my - our - brief time in Amity, which in turn brings back memories of my father.

I stop looking at it.

"Hey Four, again, quit it with the nickname!" He says, sounding like a little child.

I chuckle. "Oh, yeah, sorry."

By now we've carried the bowl around the back, so we set it down carefully and go back to pick up a new one when something crosses my mind.

"How are you holding up?" I ask him.

He shrugs.  "Well enough. I've been better."

As we walk, I notice him swerving slightly and I decide to make an assumption.

"You haven't been drinking have you?" I ask him, already knowing his answer.

He adverts my eyes.  "Maybe..."

I roll my eyes. "You know what Zeke tells you about that."

He turns around, almost tripping over his feet and glares at me.  "Zeke doesn't decide what I do." He says, then stomps off.

I frown, knowing that I might have crossed the line but not really caring.  Someone has to look out for him, and clearly Zeke isn't.
