Deserted

The land beyond the wall was nothing short of a wasteland.

It looked like a larger than life bull dozer had run through here five times over.

"What is this?" Peter asked, clearly not pleased.

"Looks... Deserted " Christina says, stating the obvious. I keep my mouth closed, but the one person I know should have something to say is still grieving for the one that allowed her another chance in the first place.

I glance at her but she's averting my eyes, looking back at her.

I look away. This reminds me too much of my reaction when I found out my instructor - Amar - had been lost to the rushing water of the Chasm.

"Only one way to find out" Uriah says in response to Christina's comment. He begins taking the other piece of his rope out of his backpack, and that's when I notice how high we still are.

We haven't made it yet.

Gradually, the rest of us follow Uriah's actions and soon, we're climbing down the other side of the wall.

Our wall.

Although we all hit the ground at different times, we're all ready to continue on in a matter of minutes.

I think it accounts to our anxiousness.

We begin the trudge across the barren land, silently wondering what lies ahead.

I'm so tired of writing these short @ss chapters seriously. It would have been longer but I didn't want to wait to update any longer. I hope you understand.... School is a thing now and deadlines and things.. If you want to know what's currently going on with me, you might want to check out my rant book. =DD as always, I will try to update faster in the future.
