~(Y/n) POV~
I've never liked school. Not because of classes or homework, I rather liked learning and distracting myself from the world with my studies. No, it was because of them. It had been going on like this since middle school, but back then it was only a few people.
The three most popular groups in school. There was Lucy and her troupe of bitches, the Jocks who catered to them, and the misfit group of cool juniors. Almost everyone in these groups had something against me, and the few that didn't took it upon themselves to bully me all the same.
I walked rather lifelessly to my locker, spinning the dial in a routine manner, then flung the door open. The vanity mirror I hadn't checked since my former best friend stuck it onto my locker's door hung broken, a crack running down the center and spreading across the surface like a spider web. It had been this way since I was slammed into my locker door and got a concussion. I hadn't felt the need to replace it or even take it out after it shattered, but I kept it as a reminder of what can happen to a friend.
This boy, the one who sold a month of my life to the hospital, had been my best friend. We went to school together as kids, and we were always close. For years I had a crush on him, but then he became a popular jock and got caught up in all the drama. Natsu Dragneel changed, and soon I hardly knew who he was. I still remember the day I knew my friend was gone.

Flashback~
___I was walking down the hall, nearing my locker when I saw it. My lock was laying on the floor, broken, and the door it locked was wide open. Dread poured over me like a bucket of ice water and I peered into my locker.
Everything was trashed. The pages of my books were torn out and stuffed into the corner, my gym uniform was shredded clumsily and drenched in the soup that had been my lunch, my pages and pages of essays due this week were torn to shreds and everything else was destroyed similarly.
With all my newfound hatred, I kicked the wall, yelling in anger. I spun on my heel, turning towards the direction of the principals office when I bumped into a familiar face.
"Watch where you're going! Ew, do I have her filth on me? Does anyone have hand sanitizer?" Lucy wailed, a smirk in her eyes. "Oh, what's happened to your locker? Who would do such a thing?" Her voice was caked with sarcasm and fake sympathy. The girls behind her laughed.
"Oh fuck off!" I growled, glaring, trying to push past her.
"You bitch," She kept herself firmly infront of me. "You think you can talk to me like that? You don't even deserve to be alive."
"I never did anything to you! You really think you're the innocent one?!" I was close to slapping her. So close.
I heard footsteps behind me and a smirk spread across her face. "I know someone who definitely does~ Natsu! Help me!" She called past me.
Just as I turned to face him, his hands gripped my shoulders and pulled me away from Lucy.
"Natsu- Hey!" I threw an accusing glare over my shoulder at him, but he pretended not to notice.
"She tried to hurt me! Punish her Natsu! Smash her into a locker, that'll teach her," Lucy was batting her eyelashes.
"Let go! I didn't touch her!" I couldn't tell whether it was guilt or annoyance on his face in the split second I saw it, but before I could double check he dragged me backwards.
