Klaus simply could not hold himself until the dinner celebration to bombard Stas with his myriad questions. Once he had finished giving orders to the staff to prepare a marvelous dinner, he rushed up to the room where Stas was staying in, hoping that she hadn't went out to explore the quarter just yet.

He knocked on her door confidently and waited a few moments until Stas swung open the door with a distressed look on her face. "What is wrong, Stas?" He inquired.

"I have made quite a mess and I cannot find the dress I packed for this very occasion— you must help me choose another dress." Stas gestured Klaus in, and he complied with her instruction.

Klaus plopped down on one of the luxurious chairs in the guest room. "I only came to chat, however, if I must assist you with your crisis— I will gladly do so for you." Klaus said sarcastically.

"Oh brother, lying is bad for your soul. Don't you know that?" Stas snickered and she raised a dress up, mutely asked Klaus if it was appropriate and he responded with a disapproving shake of his head.

"So is omission." He stated nonchalantly. Stas paused before reaching for another dress and gulped, praying that he did not know of her secrets.

"So, answer my questions so that your omission may be vanquished from our lives." He chuckled and used his typical, expressive hand motions. Stas laughed falsely, camouflaging her guilty visage.

"Of course, it has been so long, I am sure you have plenty to ask." She laughed airily.

"Where have you been all of this time? I looked for you everywhere, and when I finally gave up searching; I had convinced myself that father had killed you." Klaus said.

"I was... everywhere. One thousand years is far too long to be in one place, Klaus." She smirked at him, satisfied with her dry humor.

"Why did you run away from us— your family—? After all, you promised always and forever, remember?" He questioned.

Before answering again, Stas lifted up another dress and Klaus silently answered with a sour expression. "You know why, just as much as anyone else. I hated having my own flesh and blood wake up and fear whether if their sister would have a muderous episode that day. I could not even have one conversation with Rebekah without her glancing away self-consciously because she was afraid that I would think that she had looked at me wrong!" Stas raised her voice, angrily, then huffed and sat down on the bed.

"I apologize, the thought brings back memories that truly vex me." She shyly smiled, feeling a bit defeated.

Silence overcame the room. Klaus was shocked. Anastázia awkwardly coughed and decided to break the silence. "You asked, earlier, where I have been? Most recently, Mystic Falls, however Katerina showed up and I knew that my infamous Mikaelson family was soon to follow her arrival. So, I compelled everyone to forget I was there and fled to Italy— where I have been ever since."

Klaus scrunched up his face in confusion. "Why did you not stay behind, to reunite with us?" He asked.

Stas sighed. "I know you, Klaus. I know that you will kill anyone who carries my heart in their hands. I was deeply in love with Damon Salvatore, and I was afraid that you would kill him— just as you did to every other boyfriend I had before we turned into vampires." She admitted and watched her brother's face fall from guilt.

"So, you only came back to see the baby?" Klaus asked as he stiffened his posture.

Stas fiddled with the bracelet secured around her wrist. "Klaus, I did not come to see your child. I came to see how I could conceive my own."

"Sister, you are terribly wrong if you believe that I would inform you on how to bring a life into this world that, inevitably, will have to be ripped from your arms at birth." Klaus said, coldly.

"Please, brother, tell me," Stas began tearing up, "I have even went as low as attempting a transfer spell on an innocent pregnant woman! However, my witch was not strong enough."

"I will not be the cause of your misery." Klaus said, frigidly, acknowledging the horrors that came with having his child. He stood up and scurried out of the room, shutting the door behind him.

Stas wiped away her tears, and whispered "invisique" to reveal Michelle, who was siting in another seat in the room. "You must think of me as weak." Anastázia assumed.

Michelle scoffed. "Of course not. You are the most dangerous vampire in the world."

Stas smirked at her. "I am not granting you freedom for your faux kindness." Stas said as she returned her luggage to pick her outfit for the night. Michelle simply slumped lower in her seat, enjoying the lavish furniture and accepting her defeat.

Stas looked up at Michelle with disapproval. "There is no time to be lazy. You must ready yourself tonight, for you will be attending the dinner as well." Stas deviously smiled.
