Over the next year, Stas continued to live her lonely life away from her family. She kept up with them by sending a spy, much like Michelle, to watch them and inform her of their busy lives. She realized how much she missed them, but didn't dare return to New Orleans... until she heard that Michelle had returned to the Mikaelson house... this time with a baby in her arms.

Michelle shifted her almost 3 month old daughter, Belle, in her arms. She stood before the grand Mikaelson compound, feeling small compared to the large building. Michelle hadn't been back in New Orleans since Niklaus chose Stas over her in a heated argument. When she left, she quickly found out that she was pregnant... with Klaus' baby. It brought her much shame to only now return with his child in her arms, however, she was glad she finally grew the courage to do so.
Michelle softly knocked on the large door, somewhat hoping that no one heard it. She assumed Stas would still be present in the house, presiding as royalty over her siblings, and she assumed Stas would be the one to open the door.
However, Stas was long gone. And when the door swung open, a puzzled Klaus was revealed. His eyes quickly moved from the face of his old lover to the small child resting in her arms. His eyes widened and he gestured her to enter without a word being exchanged.
Michelle walked into the house and admired the recognizable house. "What are you doing here?" He asked quietly, still eyeing the baby in her arms.
Michael held her breath. She hadn't practiced how to explain that Belle was his child. "I— um... this is Belle." Michele introduced.
Klaus raised a curious brow at her and gestured for her to continue. "Klaus... this is our baby." Michael spoke quietly, her voice cracking.
Klaus' mouth hung wide open. "Michelle... I don't know what to say... it's been so long since I've last seen you and now... I just don't know what to say." Klaus was taken aback by her abrupt news. He had been wondering whose child Michelle was holding and why the baby was with her.
Michelle rapidly informed Klaus about what happened while she was away, and Klaus caught her up on the things that occurred while she was away. The entire conversation was awkward and uncomfortable, but they attempted their best to stay in each other's presence.
Their broken love they shared for each other was still present, and was eager to be mended. However, the circumstances were unusual and hectic. Especially now that they had to figure out what to do with their lives now that they shared an unexpected child.
an: short and strange chapter but I had to get the point across that they now have a baby together and there has been a year time skip. we are now in season three, ladies and gentlemen.
