A sharp pain rang out through Stas' head

A sharp pain rang out through Stas' head. The pain was unbearable but it was soon soothed when circles were suddenly drawn on her back with a cool finger. Stas rolled over on the silky bed she laid in and faced the person whom she was laying with. "Hello, Lucien." Stas greeted, cheekily.

"Hello, Anastázia." Lucien smiled warmly at her. He observed her every feature and loved the way she looked in the morning. She looked... almost human. It was beautiful. Her tangled blonde hair stretched out around her head on the pillow and her bare face showed off her glowing skin and natural creases.

Stas attempted to recall the memories of the night before, however, it was all a blur. She only recalled bits and pieces; she remembered seeing Lucien being whisked away by Elijah, an uproar coming from Aurora and the sweet sensations Lucien had made her feel the night before. "What happened last night? I can't remember." Stas asked as she sat up in the bed and began pushing her hair out of her face.

Lucien chuckled. "You probably had way too much of that wine," he noted, "but so did I. Well, I remember Klaus excuses you from the table to send you to your room... but of course, that didn't last long. Freya joined us and began interrogating Aurora to find out where Rebekah is. Who, Aurora explained, is at the bottom of the ocean somewhere. Chaos broke up and Klaus took Tristan to another room to threaten him. Aurora's neck was snapped during this. Then Elijah threatened me to stay away from you. When Aurora woke up, Klaus snapped Tristan's neck. There were a lot of neck snappings last night now that I think of it... anyway-" Lucien went on and on and on.

"Could you just sum it up? This is getting quite boring." Stas blatantly told.

Lucien was taken aback. "I find myself quite interesting actually."

"Is that what your mother used to tell you?" Stas joked.

"Your crude humor is quite dry." Lucien snarked.

Stas huffed. "And so were your lips last night. Your point was...?" Stas snapped back.

Lucien opened his mouth to snark back, but sighed when he had nothing to say. "1 Point Stas, 0 Points Lucien." Stas remarked, winking at him.

"I gave Klaus the medallion I took then you came over..." Lucien scratched the back of his neck, unsure whether to continue on.

"I presume you gave him the medallion because of me." Stas' old conceited habits peaked through her newly assumed persona of being one for her family at all times. Stas then hopped off of the bed to tug on her discarded clothes.

Lucien snorted. "Sure."

He paid close attention to her as she checked herself in the mirror and readjusted her clothes and hair. "Will I see you again?" He asked Stas, hoping that they would be with each other again.

Stas mimicked his earlier response and snorted. "Sure." She shot him a warm smile.

The motel Michelle found was horrible. It crawled of roaches and smelled like alcohol and cigarettes. The smells weren't one that could be masked with perfume. They were ones that clung to the carpet and the bedsheets, consuming one's every breath. "It's only temporary." Michelle told herself over and over again, so that she wouldn't have a mental breakdown while being there.

She had to suck it up. She had gone through worse, of course, but this time she felt helpless. It was an emotion she had never felt before. Usually, she could get herself out of any situation with a wave of a hand. But, now, she carried the burden of carrying Belle upon her shoulders. And it utterly drained her of every ounce of energy she had.

Michelle began to sink into the stiff chair in the motel room, her eyes weighed down and she almost finally fell asleep; however, Belle began shrieking. It was her usual cry for food. Michelle sighed exasperatedly and grabbed her child. She plopped herself on the thin mattress and breastfed the poor child. Michelle rapidly fed the starving child and as soon as she was done, she heard her cell phone ring. Quickly, she glanced at the contact and saw who it was: Niklaus.

Her head began to hurt with the loud, piercing sound ringing out into the putrid room. She longed to have a shoulder to lean on; she longed specifically for Klaus' shoulder at that very moment. She found it convenient that he was calling her now, and not right when she had discovered him sleeping with another woman. Somewhere, far back in her mind- she screamed to ignore his call. But the horrible aromas in the room, her exhaustion and huge migraine changed her mind. She was barely making it only a few days without the Mikaelsons, and she knew that she needed them.

Michelle rushed over to the phone and dropped to her knees as she answer. "H-hello?!" She shouted frantically into the phone.

"Michelle? Are you okay?! Is Belle okay?" Klaus began to worry.

Michelle began to sob uncontrollably. The emotional breakdown she was holding off finally bursted through her thick walls, and it came full force at her. Tears ran uncontrollably down her face. She couldn't make out words through her sobs, nor could she breathe in between them.

"I need to know that you're okay. Where are you? I'm coming to get you." Klaus spoke sternly into the phone.

"Clover Motel." Michelle barely spoke out through her shaky breaths.

With that, Klaus hung up and began to rush over to where Michelle was. As soon as he ended the call, Michelle collapsed onto the floor and bawled. Anyone looking upon her wouldn't know why she would be crying such a way, but she knew why: she cried because she was a horrible mother, she cried because she couldn't care for her daughter on her own, she cried because she was a failure, but most of all, she cried because Niklaus had broken her heart.
