Bekky's pov#

''Katelyn, faster!'' I scream from behind me, they were getting closer, right on our tails. The damn fuckwits! Eventually she catches up and runs straight by my side. I was so sick of running for my life, which is all I have been doing for the past three days. We haven't had time to catch our breath, not before the 'meat eating bastards' turned up and decided to swarm us from everywhere possible.

''There! Now!'' Katelyn shouts as she runs towards a tower looking building, I follow her footsteps, not letting her get too far ahead of me. We make it to the doors and open the doors quite harshly. Bad idea...

There were more inside... They were now pouring out as well...

''Come on'' I say under my breath before grabbing her arm, dragging her along with me. Every place we have come across to stay for the night turns into a piece of shit. Literally... The 'Walkers' as Katelyn likes to call them get in and ruin the place, always forcing us to move on to somewhere else.

"Fuck it, over here" I say under my breath, Katelyn now following my tracks. I make my way to a house that looked like it has had its fair share of wear and tares. Rushing inside, I close the door harshly behind me making sure Katelyn was inside as well.

She looks around the room before resting her hands on her knees, taking deep breaths. I did the same, though falling to the ground because of exhaustion.

"We should move again at first light" She says before sitting on the ground herself, pulling out her bag off her shoulders that she found as we have been running and grabs her sleeping bag out along with a blanket. I get up and walk my way to her, collapsing on top of the second sleeping bag she pulled out for me. It didn't take us long laying there before we finally drifted into yet another anything but a good night's rest.

#Next Morning#

I wake with the sun just beginning to rise, I am use to waking around sunrise now, it was now the new norm. Gosh how weird that sounds indeed.

"We better get moving" Katelyn mumbles, packing up her stuff. She always managed to be up and out of 'bed' before me. I followed suit and began to pack my bag up as well.
"I have an idea" She states, clearing her throat.

"Yeah?" I ask her curiously.

"How bout we head here? It could be safe? It could be our new home till we find the others?" Katelyn wonders pointing to a very old looking gas station, probably from around the early 1900's. I still love vintage but not so much anymore, it has been years since I have really loved anything like I use to. I move my eye gaze to meet hers and sigh.

''I just hope we do find the others'' I say sadly. I really hope...

#3 days earlier#

"What are you doing?" I scream out to Katelyn, she was still on the lookout deck with Lauren and I. It was horrible, watching the 'meat eating bastards' take away our home, they were breaking it down so fast. It was like all our hard work has now gone down the drain. And Judith... I hope she made it to the church safely, I hope she's still alive, she is the only hope this world has. If we lose her, we lose this. The world.

"Look we are obviously not going to be able to get down, so our only other option is to climb over!" She states out of breath, she was freaking out and I don't blame her, so was I. Was I actually going to do this, abandon everyone here in hope for finding a safe haven somewhere else? Again? Leaving the people I have grown?

Yes, yes I was.
