Chapter 4: Zhadow & I

Scarlett's POV:

As I approached the exit to the end of the restroom, I inhaled and exhaled from the nervousness I felt for finally coming out of the shower. Slowly, I twisted the door knob and walked out of the restroom.

My eyes quickly met Zhadow, training on his Xbox. He quickly looked back at me in horror while I giggled at his 'New Look'; he wore a red bandana along with Scarlett red gloves. I pushed the laughter aside and walked along to Zonic's bed while pushing my index finger on the smooth silky white bed sheets.

I quickly sat on Zonic's bed while Zhadow turned off his Xbox. "Oh come on, I wanted to play." I spoke sarcastically. He slowly pushed a smirk across his face trying not to smile; not making eye contact, he walked over to his bed.

It's been a while since I've seen a normal room, or in this case an advanced new room. This place was like a freakin' college for crying out loud. I haven't been able to go to college because of the cause of the stupid invasion.

Zhadow looked up at me as I was still in deep thought. I felt my eyes turn orange from embarrassment, I also felt my muzzle burn with a bright pink blush as well.

He walked closer to the bed while he still stared at me like a creep, I wanted to know what was going on through his mind. "What?" I spoke a bit annoyed. I don't like it when I'm being stared at, it makes me feel insecure.

He sat on the bed in front of me and finally spoke, "Nothing, it's just, I've never seen a quite beauty such as yourself, in my years of training." He spoke in his deep soft voice. I looked down so he wouldn't see me blushing.

I felt my eyes turn an even brighter coral color. I looked up to see his gorgeous ruby red eyes again starring back at mine. "Th-....Thank you." I stuttered. He gently started to brush my quills as I laid in Zonic's bed, he laid next to me as I was falling asleep. Soon enough darkness caught up to me as I fell into a deep sleep.

Zhadow's POV:

I couldn't help but stroke her lovely quills and be with her even more. I gently aroused from Zonic's bed and carried Scarlett bridal style to my bed.

As I approached my comforting home, I slowly pushed myself down letting her go on top of my chest. She moved around for a bit of a comfort zone. Scared, she finally stopped while I sighed in relief.

I couldn't believe we actually brought her here, I feel bad for Scarlett, you know, 'She's going to die.' We shouldn't have brought her here, not if Zonic actually cared.

The reason being is because any survivors are gonna get killed, just like that. I looked down at Scarlett who was still asleep on my chest. I smiled from the thought of her falling asleep on me, she's so beautiful and so unique. She had her womanly curves in the right position, her pink quills were beautifully long and she has the cutest personality.

My ears quickly twitched to the sound of jingles from keys as I was pushed away from my thoughts. "Hey buddy!" Zonic approached smiling, putting a white paper bag on my counter.

"Shhhh." I shushed him. He looked down at Scarlett who was still sound asleep on my chest.

"Zhadow, what is she doing on your chest?" He thought for a while and spoke again knowing what I had been thinking.

"I rather you not." He said shaking his head.

"If I could I would. Zonic why can't she live up here with us, she's not even a zombie." I spoke while giving him an angry glare.

"Zhadow I'm just doing what I'm told." He spoke in a guiltily.

I looked down at her to see her innocence and bitter need for help. 'She doesn't need to die, she was never bitten, I knew it was a bad idea for her to come up here with us.' I thought while I looked up at Zonic who immediately left the room to go do who knows what.
