Chapter 6: Back on Earth

Scarlett's POV

I soon crash landed on earth, and got off the space shuttle. As I got off the shuttle, I coughed a bit trying to get use to the bad smell that I had lived with for so long. I looked at the space shuttle for a moment. The thought of Zhadow's death didn't escape my process of being back here what so ever. I walked away ever so sadden and lonely.

I still couldn't tell where I was at, it was still dark and ugly down here. "Mission accomplished." I spoke as I began my process of walking to find whatever shelter that was left for me. Soon enough, I spotted a dirty white barnyard that caught my eye.

There were farms all over the fucking place, and farms really creep me out. I decided just to relax and try not to think about what happened to Zhadow, or even the farms. My eyes turned to their original state, emerald green, and I was glad to feel calm again but still sadden to feel Zhadow's ring wrapped around my wrist.

I soon approached the dirty white barn that my eyes spotted a bit earlier.

I walked into the barn while I threw my backpack on the ground. I than laid on a stack of hay while I tried comforting myself from all the itching little twigs.

I felt so much anger and rage as I thought of Zonic who betrayed me and Zhadow. I didn't want to see him again, ever, and the more I thought of Zonic, the more I wanted revenge.

Trying to push the thought of Zonic out of my head, I began to think again about how Zhadow said it was 8:00 a.m from where we once stood.

I thought about how I use to watch the morning sunsets from my house on the rooftop waiting for Sonic to come home from Sally's house.

I use to watch the evening sunset everyday and sing the song 'Rain.' I don't know why but that song is always stuck on me like glue stuck on paper, but why?

I slowly began to shut my eyes, trying not to fall asleep. I than began to hum the song Rain. "Hmm hmm hm hm hm......" Darkness soon approached my sight once again, as I fell into a deep sleep, imagining Zhadow by my side.

"RUFF, RUFF!" I began to open my eyes from the sound of a bark. *Yawn* I awoke and sat straight up. I than stretched out my arms and stood up trying to balance myself from the sleepiness I still had. 'How long was I asleep for?' I thought while waiting for the bark to come again.

The barking stopped but again I heard the sound of screeches and zombie screams. 'Oh shit hellhounds.' I thought while getting my backpack and putting my helmet on immediately.

I finally got out my pistol and quickly ran out of the barn. I looked around and spotted a dirt road, I than ran over to that destination and started following the dirt tracks.

"RUFF!" The barks and screeches sounded again but much more closer. My eyes had turned yellow.

I stopped and turned around for a moment. I soon noticed 4 objects moving but as the objects approached my area 11 feet away from me, I quickly realized it was 4 Hellhounds headed my way.

They approached in front of me slowly growling, licking their lips from hunger. I took 2 steps back but then, "crunch" I stepped on a stick. I saw the dogs ears quickly perk up. "Fuck!" I yelled as I began to run while the 4 hounds chased after me.

"RUFF RUFF!" They continued barking.

I quickly took out a combat knife that I hid under my sleeve earlier at the facility and threw it at one's eye as it fell to the ground and pouted.

The other three still chased after me. I got the chance to use my pistol and shot at the head of one while it flew back and landed on the ground violently. The last two still remained and chased me while I turned around and shot the smallest hellhound on the head. The head than exploded while the last one wouldn't give up on capturing me. I began to sprint faster. The last hellhound was the biggest dog out of all of the 4. 'Just my luck.'

I soon came into a wide open space of two barnyards and a house. I quickly ran over to where I saw the destination and jumped over the white little gate that blocked the entrance.

I quickly hit the ground and got up, stumbling to start running again, and trying to balance myself when suddenly I tripped over a rock! "Ahhh!" I screamed while I laid there in pain, my foot got twisted a bit; how idiotic of me. {-.-}

The dog quickly approached the white gate and jumped over it. As I saw death looking straight into my eyes, I only thought of Zhadow and how happy we once were, I closed my eyes when all of a sudden,

"BAM!" A gun fired.

I quickly felt a large heavy object fall on top of myself. I opened my eyes to reveal the dog laying on top of me. In shock, I pushed me index finger near the dog's pulse to see if he or it, was still alive, I felt no beat. *Phew*

I quickly looked up to see who shot the dog, when I looked up and saw non other than, 'ZHADOW?!' "Zhadow?!" I questioned happily. He looked down at me confused with an annoyance face down.

"I'm not a zone cop." He said blowing the smoke that surrounded his pistol, it was a 45 black pistol with white that surrounded the handle.

'Someone's got an attitude.' I thought.

"It's not an attitude, it's called 'annoyed', and your apparently on my territory." My eyes turned into a shade of a red crimson violent color! as my anger was developing from his harsh bitchy attitude.

I looked up at him and realized he wasn't wearing a suit, in fact he was a full grown naked hedgehog. He wore white shoes along with inhibitor rings around his wrists and ankles. Red streaks like Zhadow's, red crimson eyes as well, and fluffy white chest hair.

He can read my fucking mind as well,

"Then who are you anyways?" I questioned angrily while struggling to stand up from the ground.

I looked at him as he was approaching my personal space. "That information can not be revealed for a peasant such as yourself." I gave him a death stare as I felt my anger getting more occupied into my settings.

He looked at my uniform and spoke in disgust, "Are you a zone cop?" I'm guessing he didn't like zone cops, due to the fact that they had the same identity as mobians did, I didn't realize I still had my helmet on.

"No." I spoke calmly. "Then why are you wearing that suit." He questioned still not making eye contact.

I growled a bit from the rudeness he was still giving off. "Well sorry sir, that information could not be revealed." I mocked him with a smirk written across my face.

"Excuse me?" His eyebrow raised up. "I don't have time for this." He quickly started walking away.

"Wait!" I yelled after him.

"What?" He turned around annoyed

"Can I please 'stayyyy'?"

"I don't know, dont you have to go back up into space into that little facility of yours?"

I rolled my eyes more annoyed than ever. "What do you have, are you any good?" He looked at my pistol which was still really hot in my hand.

"I'm good, I've trained." I lied.

I looked at his furry chest which looked completely soft, he was so clean, but how?!..

"Show me." I didn't know how the hell to show him. He gave me a death stare motioning me to do something. I quickly got a dauber out and threw it across him, aiming at the red barnyard, and through the window. 'Fuck, where did it go...' He clapped his hands but didn't look too impressed what so ever.

"Well than, let's have a battle, shall we?" He asked taking off his inhibitor rings.

'A BATTLE?!? The fuck is wrong with him...' I thought trying to process the answer.

"Okay, let's fight!" I came to a conclusion. 'Did he even stop to realize if maybe you know, I was a women inside?! Oh gosh I'm going to die! But why did he have those inhibitor rings anyway?'
