I hate it when people say, "Hurry up!" during situations where you can't control the speed of something.

•*•*•*•*•

I hate how I do this all the time out of habit and panic.

Hypothetical:

You're waiting for your friend's plane to land and you tell your friend to hurry up, so you can see them.

Do you see the problem here?

In this hypothetical, your telling your friend to hurry up, when they're not even controlling the plane.
It's all dependent on the plane, not your friend.

It's like telling someone to "Have a good flight!"
You can't really control how your flight goes, so it's kind of pointless.

I still say it, nevertheless, even though I'm aware of this flaw, but I only do it to be polite.

:P
