~Lauren's POV~

I shake my head, meaning no. "Good. Let's keep it that way then." he replies. I quickly turn around, only to have him trap me between his body and the counter. "What did happen?" I ask, blushing at how close we are. "We'll save that for a later date." he says, and begins to walk away. I pull him by the collar of his jacket, making him fall to the floor with force. "I remember gaming. What else happened?" I ask, staring down at him.

Like the smile thing, I can feel the shock on his face. "You remembered my name. You saw my face." he whispers to me. I furrow my eyes brows, but shrug and lend a hand to help him. He grabs it, but immediately pulls me down on top of him. We both laugh, but when I look up, I see a face instead of a mask. His eyes widen, so I cover my eyes. "Sorry sorry sorry sorry!" I say, quickly getting up. I feel him grab my wrist, pulling me back down to him.

"It's okay." he says, pulling my hand away from my eyes. I smile up at him, and he smiles down at me. I look up at his eyes, and begin going into thought. 'This is the real Vanoss. This is.... dammit I forgot his name... I know it started with an... I think... and 'e'..' I come out of my thoughts, and feel a soft pair of lips on mine. My blood runs cold as all the heat creeps up to my face. I hear someone clear their throat, making me pull back and stand up.

I run out of the kitchen and up the stairs. I turn into the first door, seeing it's a bathroom. As I lock the door, I also turn on the light. I slide down the door as my heart races a mile a minute. I, lightly, touch my lips. I listen to what's going on outside, only to hear about 2 sets of footsteps coming up the stairs. A loud knock makes the whole door vibrate, almost like they're using the side of their fist. "Lauren.." a soft voice coos.

I blush, knowing it's Evan's. EVAN! HOLY SHIT! I REMEMBERED! I jump up and move, only to have the door barged in. I turn and glare at my brother and Vanoss laying on the floor. Evan looks up at me with a smile, a smile that makes me return one. 'Dammit Evan. I'm supposed to be mad right now..' Jon also looks up at me, but looks a little mad. He jumps up and pulls my arm. He drags me into a blue room, so I'm gonna assume it's his.

"YOU KISSED VANOSS?!" he yells at me. I shrink down a bit at his intimidating voice. He steps back with wide eyes, then he takes a step towards me. "Sorry, I-I didn't mean to yell." he apologizes. I turn towards him and smile. "It's okay.." I say shyly. "Why'd you kiss him?" he asks nicely. I shrug. "I got lost in thoughts.. I came back and that's what was happening.." I reply, a bit of heat creeping up to my face again.

His arm goes around me and pulls me into a hug. "Just...." he begins, then sighs. "Just stay safe if you decide to date him. Being together with someone in a gang isn't safe. Especially for a girl." he says. I nod and smile, hugging him as well. "Delirious, Moon! Come on, we're training!" Basically's voice echoes. We release each other, then smile. I walk out of Del's room and down the wide corridor once more. As I start down the stairs, I look around at everyone already gathered in the living room.

Once I step off the last step, I hear Vanoss' voice saying what all we'll be doing. "This training is mostly for Moon to find out her strengths and weaknesses. But I figured we could all go and train, for extra practice. I don't want any of you in Moon's way unless ordered to. We all clear?" Evan finishes, the guys replying with a 'Yeah' or 'yes' or 'whatever'. I smile at their lame answers, but follow them out the door anyways.

I follow the crowd of guys to a garage where there's probably over 15 cars. All sharp looking as well. I begin to follow Wildcat, only to be pulled over to a black and yellow car. It has the batman symbol on the hood. I look up and see Evan's mask, making me wonder where mine's at. "Um, Evan.." I hesitantly say. He looks back at me, waiting for me to finish my thought. "I don't know where my mask is at.." I mumble. "I have it." he says, then turns to face where he's going again.

When he stops by the passenger side of the car, he pulls the door open for me. I step in and sit on the vinyl seats. "These are nice.." I say as Evan shuts the door. I watch him jog around the front of the car, and stops at the drivers side. Once he jumps in, he roars the car the life, then backs out of the garage. Quickly might I add. Once we're outside of the garage, he speeds off towards downtown. After a few minutes, I hear sirens behind us. "Shit." Evan mumbles under his breath.

I feel him place something in my lap, so I look down and see my snowy owl mask. I smile and slip it on, knowing what he's about to do. It's been awhile since I've been in a car chase. I watch him press a button, then hear him speak. "You guys head off to the training area. We got cops on us, we'll be a few minutes late." he says, then removes his finger from the button. I hear Jonathon answer with an "I'll help you out." then cuts out. "The police are messing with the signal." I tell him.

He nods, then hands me a random laptop from the back of his car. "Here, try your best to scramble our code." he orders. I nod, knowing I could do this before. I don't know if I can now, but I better figure it out. I open it up, but see a thousand codes changing on the screen. I very quickly read them, trying to figure out what it is they're doing exactly. "Evan, they keep changing the codes so that we can't." I tell him. I watch him hit the steering wheel out of frustration, then turns a sharp right.

We drive through the pier, making many people run for their lives. I look behind us, but see the cops stopped at the entrance. "Get ready to jump!" Evan says, handing me a parachute bag. I smile and nod, taking the bag from him and putting it on. I put the laptop in its  bag, then wrap the strap around my waist. I watch as the car runs off the pier, so I open my door and jump out, along with Evan. I look around for a good place to land and see Delirious waving his arms around.

I wave back and pull the string. I feel my blood run cold after I do so. The chute never came open. "EVAN!" I yell, hoping he'll hear me before it's too late. I watch the ground descend towards me quickly, so I turn away. I feel some arms wrap around my waist, then a force pulling us up. I wrap my arms around Evan's neck, thankful that he 1. Caught me, and 2. Had a working parachute. I keep my face hidden in his chest, too scared to look down.

Well, I'm never gonna parachute again. After I stop feeling the air rush past my face, I open my eyes and see the sand. We're under the pier. "You alright?!" I hear Jon yell. I nod, but refuse to let go of Evan. "What happened?" he asks, his voice a bit more distant. Probably talking to Vanoss. "I guess her chute string broke.." he mumbles. I nod, letting him know he's correct. "Let's get tot he others.." Del says.

I feel Vanoss start to walk, so I lift my head up and ask my brother "Why did the cops stop following us at the entrance of the pier?" I can tell that he's smirking. "After you two entered, I placed some C4s at the entrance. When the cops entered, I showed them some that I had in my hand, making them all stop immediately. Before any of them got a chance to shoot me, I sped away on my bike." he explains. I smile, knowing that this is the same Jon as before. Still loving explosives.
