I look around the room, seeing most of the guys asleep. Once I reach Lauren, I smile. She's curled up in a loose ball in my side. I don't know how comfy it is, but I guess it works. I look back up at the tv, seeing the credits going. I lightly shake Lauren, hoping to slightly wake her up. I hear her groan, so I say "Come on" in a whispered voice. "Carry me" she groans. I sigh, then get up and pick her up with me. Her arms wrap around my neck and she buries her head in my neck. I feel a little heat run up to my face, but I smile anyways. I know she likes me too.
I head towards the stairs, trying my best to not step on anyone. Once I reach the dark stairway, I slowly make my way up. I finally make it up safely, so I head to my room again. As I walk down the tile floor, I hear snores come from the living room. I'll bet it's Tyler. I turn to my left and enter my room, closing my door with a slight creek. Once it's fully shut, I lay Lauren on my bed, then cover her up. I watch her snuggle into them, making smile again. I probably seem like a stalker staring at her, but I can't help it. Her natural brown hair with slight blonde highlights, her pale skin, I love every bit of it.
I get away from the sleeping beauty and head to my couch. I strip of my shirt, but leave my sweat pants on. I lay down on the somewhat comfy sofa and sigh. I turn so that I'm facing the cushions and close my eyes. As I finally get all thoughts kicked out of my head, I hear some rustling from Lauren. I roll over to look at the bed, but feel weight suddenly on half of me. "Evan..." Lauren mumbles. "Hmm?" I groan back. "This couch isn't that comfy." "I know." "Then why do you sleep on it?" she mumbles. "Because, you deserve the bed. Now go back to it." I order.
"You're a grown man. If anything I should get the floor." she argues. "No. You're the guest, the one that's healing, you get the bed." I refuse back. She groans in annoyance and gets off the couch. I hear footsteps in the hallway, then hear the door open up. I roll over and see Jon at the door. "I heard low mumbles, had to make sure." he says sleepily. I stifle small laughter, but roll back to the cushions. "Night." he says before closing the door. I hear him quietly walk down the hall until his footsteps fade away.
"Evan.." Lauren mumbles. "Hmm?" I'm hum back. "What's it like being the leader?" she asks me. I sit up and ask with a slight yawn "Where'd this come from?" I can barely see her figure shrug, so I look down at the floor. "It's pretty difficult. Picking the good positions during a mission can be stressful. Making sure you keep everyone safe is the biggest part. But the good thing about it, is that you're in control. Sure, I'm very serious about what we do. But I can be a fun guy. If someone is upset, you help them. If people are having fun, you join them.
It's pretty cool, but stressful." I finish. I look up over at her and see her nodding. "Go to sleep now." I chuckle. I hear her lie down, so I do as well.
~3rd person's POV~
As everyone in the house slept, a girl was sitting outside. She had long, dirty blonde hair, blue-green eyes, and freckles lining her nose and cheeks. She had the dimmest amount of light in her eyes from everything that's happened to her. She pushes herself up off the wall she was previously leaning on and manages to stand up without falling.
~???'s POV~
I wobble my way to the front door of this apartment and sit under the small patio light. As I finally get settled on the cold cement ground, I hear a quiet shuffling come from the other side of the door. Almost like a door..unlocking. I go wide-eyed and duck behind a very large flower pot. I watch as a tall guy with blonde-ish hair and blue eyes comes out the door, quietly closing it once he's fully out. As his gaze slowly makes his way to me, I duck further so he can't see my head.
I watch him sit down on a simple patio chair and pull out his phone. I see his thumbs scrolling up slowly on the screen, so I'm going to assume he's on facebook. I curl up in a small ball and force myself further into the corner. I suddenly get a tingle in my nose, making me nut out a little. As I feel the rush of air enter my lungs, I sneeze. I try to keep it quiet, but it wasn't enough. "Who's there?!" the guy asks, jumping out of his chair. I see him pull a gun from the pocket of his sweatpants.
"Don't make me find you! You won't like it!" he quietly yells. I guess there's more people in there sleeping. I slowly crawl out from behind the pot and stand up weakly. "Who the hell are you?" he asks. "M-my name i-is Avalon." I stutter. "What're you doing here?" he continues on with questions. "I was just looking for somewhere to be out of the snow. I promise, I wasn't trying to trespass." I quickly tell him, but am suddenly hit with a sense of dizziness. As I begin to fumble around a bit, I see the man's face grow with confusion.
"Hey, you okay~?" his voice asks, slowly fading out. I feel my legs go numb, then blackness hits me.
~Tyler's POV~
Oh. My. God. Another fucking girl?! Am I just a goddamn chick magnet or some shit?! I quickly catch her so she doesn't hit her head and think about what to do with her. I need to question her more. Not to mention, girls are good at seeing what other girls are feeling. So Lauren could help us figure her out when she does wake up. Avalon, I think she said was her name. That's a pretty unique name. I shrug and pick her up, bringing her inside. I quietly shut the door back behind me, then lie her down on the couch.
I grab one of the blankets off the floor from earlier and put it on the girl, then lock the door. I go to the kitchen and pull out the hidden monitor, making sure the camera still works in the living room. Once I see the night vision is on the the camera works just fine, I put the monitor back and head upstairs to my room. Once there, I open the door, then close it back. 'Hope they don't question me too much..' I think to myself, then plop on the bed and close my eyes, letting the feeling of sleep finally consume me.
