"Tell me."

"No."

"Calum, tell me." She nudged him with her elbow.

"No, Jenna. Trust me, you wouldn't want to know." He tried to dismiss the subject.

"Come on, Calum. Why not?" She could tell he was getting bothered, but she was very curious.

"Because I know how much you like him!" He finally snapped.

"I know that you really like him, and I also know you won't ever see him the same way if you knew what happened."

"Look," She sighed. "What I know is that you two had a huge fight at school last week, and got suspended for three days. For God's sake Calum, your eye is still black! Besides, if it would change my view of him then I gladly want to hear it, because I can't stand Luke right now."

She was quite furious with Luke at the moment. But that was another story. She wanted to hear what Calum had to say.

"Alright. You do know about his thing with Paige, right?" It may have sounded weird, but Jenna knew exactly what Calum was talking about.

"That he has had an unhealthy obsession with the girl for three years and he finally snapped out of it and started hooking up with a bunch of random girls after he finally realized she would never give him the slightest of attention? Yeah, I know that, Cal. The whole school does."

Jenna couldn't help being sarcastic about the situation. It was quite ridiculous how Luke would fucking throw endless parties for Paige and treat her like a queen and basically humiliate himself for her while she acted as if he wasn't even there. And while Jenna tried to keep her crush for him at bay, she watched Luke do the impossible for a date with Paige, only to get slammed in the face.

At first, Jenna was hurt to see him like that, and she kept telling herself that if she was a good friend to him and tried to hang out more with him and his friends, he would see that there was somebody willing to give him their attention. But no, he only had eyes for Paige.

Then, Jenna became irritated with him. Luke would ask her to hang out, then spend all the fucking evening whining about Paige. She had had enough. She wouldn't go out with that group of people as much, only because of Luke.

Nevertheless, she still liked him a lot. And she hated herself for it. But as everything else that doesn't work out in her life, she does her best to ignore it.

"That's pretty much what was happening, until we found out that he's still not over her."

"Well I'm not surprised. Nobody sleeps around that much unless they are still in love with someone that doesn't love them back."

Calum looked at her in astonishment. "When did you get so deep?" He tried to joke.

"I just watch a lot of movies and read a lot of teen-fiction." She laughed. And he went along with it, even though he knows she was not fine. He wasn't blind. He saw how Luke looks at Paige, but he could never tell his best friend that Jenna looked at him the same way.

"Well, I guess now it would turn to a bad-boy type of story."

Calum explained that he heard Luke and Paige talking in the hallway at a free period. They were fighting over a tape. Apparently after Luke had fucked half the girls in school, Paige finally accepted to go out with him, just to spite her father who had forbiddened her from dating anyone, which was the main reason she had refused to even aknowledge Luke's presence before. But things got out of Paige's hand when she found out that Luke had a camera on while they had sex. Luke was saying he was going to post it all over the school (but firstly send it to Paige's father). And that was when Calum stepped in. Their argument quickly turned into a fist fight after Luke said he was doing it so that "everyone could get a view of the school's biggest Virgin Mary."

"He actually said that?" Jenna gasped. Yes, Paige wasn't exactly her favourite person, but only because Luke was so helplessly in love with her. Paige was friendly and cool. Jenna had nothing against her. And knowing that her fucking crush was such an obnoxious person made her sick.

"Yes. And a lot of other shit."

"He's a dick!"

"Indeed he is."

"And I actually like the guy."

"Apparently."

"He's also your best friend."

"He has been for years."

"This is so fucked up."

"It is."

"Stop agreeing with me and let me process this!"
