As Rob wakes up, a huge smile forms on his face, loving this feeling more than anything; Kristen is in his arms.

He places a light kiss on her bare shoulder to see if she's awake, but she doesn't stir, she just continues her slow, steady breathing. Feeling bold and in love, he places more kisses on her shoulder and she wakes up, a smile forming on her lips as well.

"Mmm... good morning," she whispers, turning around in his arms so they're face to face. Rob is once again amazed by how beautiful she is, with her deep green eyes and breath-taking smile.

"G'morning," he greets back, wanting nothing more than to kiss her full lips, but decides to just kiss her forehead instead.

"We're spending Christmas together," Kristen says, a ridiculous smile on her face as she recalls what happened last night. The smile rubs directly off on Rob. "Yes, we are," he says, nuzzling his nose against hers.

"Are you sure your family will be okay with that?" Kristen asks him, suddenly nervous that they'll be a little unhappy that she's tagging along.

"Of course, Kristen. I'm not the only one who've missed you. God, the amount of times my mum has called and tried to talk me into asking you to get back together. Sure, she hated to see me so miserable, but she also wanted us to get back together because she absolutely adores you."

"Why didn't you?" Kristen asks. Rob frowns. "Huh?"

"Why didn't you ask me if I wanted to get back together?"

"Because I was afraid you were gonna say no," Rob admits, adverting his eyes from Kristen's.

"I would've taken you back in a heartbeat," she tells him, her tone of voice making him look at her. The sincerity and honesty in her eyes make him gulp.

"I know that now," he says, pulling her closer with one hand and stroking her back with the other.

"I wish you didn't have to go," Kristen says after some minutes of silence. "Or that I could go with you."

Rob sighs deeply. "Me too, baby, but I promised my mum, and you have to work, but we'll see each other very soon."

"When is your flight taking off again?"

Rob looks at the clock on the nightstand. "One and a half hour. Fuck, I better get going."

He untangles himself from Kristen to get up from the bed, but she'll have none of it.

"No, no, no, no, just one last hug," she begs, grabbing his hands and pulling him down. He lays down beside her again and wraps his arms around her. They hug for a minute until Kristen lightly pats Rob's butt and tells him that he has to get his fine, British arse out of bed or he'll be late. He chuckles and gets out of the bed, walking over to his bag to start packing. Kristen watches from the bed with a smirk on her face as Rob bends down to pick up his clothes from the floor, her eyes trained on said fine, British arse.

"I guess that's it," Rob says when his bag is packed, looking around the hotel room to make sure he's got everything. He hasn't brought that much clothes since he only planned to stay one night, but he's managed with some of Tom's clothes and boxer briefs from Target. His eyes land on Kristen who's looking at him with such a sad expression that he wants to gather her up in his arms and never let her go. She gets out of bed and walks over to him, and they walk to the door.

"Thank you for coming," Kristen says, looking up into his blue eyes.

"Thank you for not kicking me out," Rob says in return, chuckling, though he's slightly serious. She chuckles along with him.

"I'm gonna miss you." Rob takes her hand in his own and starts playing with her fingers.

Kristen sighs. "I'll miss you too, babe. But it's only two days, then we'll see each other again," she reminds him, a smile tugging at the corner of her lips.

"Bye," he whispers, trying to hold back tears, both happy and sad.

"G'bye," Kristen whispers back, also afraid of letting the tears fall.

Rob gives her hand a last squeeze before he lets go of it and walks out of the door.

The second he's out of the room, Kristen feels empty, like half of her is missing.

A minute later, there's a knock on the door.

Kristen opens the door and Rob walks into the hotel room, dropping his bag on the floor. "I forgot something," he explains. Palming her face, he bends down and kisses her.
