When Kristen sees it's Rob calling her, her heart starts beating a little faster, but she tries not to dwell on what that means.

"Hello?" she says into the receiver, taking a swig of her steaming Christmas tea.

"Hey Kris, I just wanted to thank you one more time for all the food, I've been so busy I haven't really had the time to go shopping. It's nice of you to take care of me. And I was wondering if, uhm... well, if you'd want to come over tomorrow? It's a lot of food you've gotten me and you do look thinner... But only if you want to, of course. I'm sure you have something more important to do..." Rob rambles, wanting to get it all out at once, like taking a plaster off quickly, except he doesn't know if the outcome will hurt or please him.

"Hi Rob," Kristen says chuckling, indirectly commenting on that he hasn't even let her greet him yet. He chuckles as well, letting out a breath that he didn't realise he was holding.

"Yeah, sure, I'd love to! I'm doing nothing tomorrow, actually. Well, I'm meeting up with Ruth, but that's in the morning. When do you want me to be there?" Kristen asks. Since they're both on the phone, they don't see each other biting their lip to prevent their voice turning squeaky due to them smiling so widely.

"Is 5 okay?"

"5's fine. I think I'm gonna cook us something new though. What do you want?"

"As long as it's something you cook, I don't care." Rob says, his mouth watering just thinking of Kristen's food, and his lips twitching up into an even wider smile, just thinking about her.

"I'll see you tomorrow then," Kristen says reluctantly, not wanting to hang up.

"Yeah, see you," Rob says.

When they hang up, foolish smiles are plastered on both of their faces.
