Days passed and I started to get lonely. Vic and the guys need to work on their songs so I told them I'd be fine and that they can go. I've been reading, listening to music, and sleeping to pass the time being alone. Today's the last day of staying here full time and the doctors feel optimistic.
They're telling me my body is reacting the way it should and that within months the cancer should be gone. It'll be a lengthy process, but at least I haven't started losing hair. That's my worst nightmare, because when I look in the mirror it'll remind me how sick I am. But for now, it's blue, and I need to have fun with it.
It's around nighttime now and Vic doesn't know I can come home. I want it to be a surprise. I want to go to our basement where they've been practicing and surprise them all. I'm wearing the clothes I wore when I got here, but they're clean now at least. I quietly opened the front door, tiptoeing through the house to make sure they didn't hear me below them. I could hear them playing a song and I smiled. I slowly opened the basement door, tiptoeing down the steps. If they weren't playing they would so hear me right now.
I reached the end of the steps and turned, ducking into the dark once again. I hope they didn't see me. I bit my lip, shuffling back slightly behind another support beam. They finished playing and set their guitars, drumsticks, and mics down. I plastered a grin on my face. "You guys sound amazing," I spoke, walking out of the dark. Their mouths hung open and Vic ran over to me, wrapping his arms around me and spinning me around.
"How'd you get home? Why didn't you tell me you could leave? I didn't-" Vic was cut off my Mike who set a hand on his mouth.
"Hey (f/n)," I smiled, giving him a hug. Damn this guys tall. My fave was released from his chest and Tony came my way, giving me a hug as well. I extended out my arms for Jaime and he ran at me, hugging me tightly and spinning me just like Vic did.
"I missed you chica!" He exclaimed, setting me on the ground while I laughed
"I missed you guys too," I said with a grin, laughing slightly as I tried to balance myself from Jaime's spin. Vic came up to me, wrapping his arms around me tightly, making my smile grow.
"We'll leave you alone for a sec," Mike grimaced. Understandable, who else would be okay watching their brother make out with your friend? I turned in Vic's arms, wrapping my arms around his neck. I pulled him closer and smiled, breathing in his wonderful scent. No, I'm not creepy.
"I love you," I grinned.
"I love you more,"
"Not possible," I smirked, attaching my lips to his. It seems like forever since we've been like this, in each other's arms, and just purely happy. "I have an idea," I smiled.
"And that is?" Vic's hands moved down to my hips.
"What if we go to a convenience store?" I raised an eyebrow, watching as his smile grew.
"Why would we do that?"
"To get something," then it clicked. On my bucket list, something he wanted to do.
"Let's get moving," I gave him one last kiss before grabbing his hand and tugging him up the stairs to where the guys were. "Follow me!" I shouted, still tugging Vic through the house and out the front door. I quickly got in the car, with Vic driving and the guys in the backseat.
"What the hell are we doing?" Tony asked, almost frantically.
"Calm down turtle, we're going to a convenience store," he frowned, clearly confused, which only made me grin more.
"Wait does this have to do with the bucket list?" Mike asked.
"Of course it does. These guys are so in love they'll do anything on that damn list for each other," Jaime laughed. I looked over at Vic and grinned, taking my hand in his. He drove us to the nearest store and parked. Stealing something can't be too bad, right? I turned in my seat and looked at the guys who watched me like I was crazy.
