(Vic's P.O.V)
As soon as I got back home, I ran up the steps to the front door. I swung the door open and searched around the living room. It was completely silent, except for the slight sound of crying coming from somewhere. "(F/n)?" I shouted, making my way through the hall. The crying seemed to get louder and I knew she was in our room. I grabbed the doorknob and opened the door, the sight I saw nearly killing me. There (f/n) was, hair all over the place, tears soaking her face and the pillow beneath her. Her lips trembled as I walked closer, her breathing unsteady. "Why are you crying?" I reached towards her but she jumped up off the bed, tiptoeing quickly back to the other side of the room.
"Where were you?" She choked out, and my blood ran cold. I gulped, running a hand through my hair. "Tell me!" She shouted out, a sob raking her voice afterwards.
"I-" her eyes filled with more tears that only pooled out more. "I was at someone's house, I needed to get away." I spoke the white lie. I'm a disgusting person.
"While I was here? Suffering? Where do you think Felicity is, Vic?" The way she spoke my name was like acid on her tongue as she sobbed.
"I- I don't know, I figured-" the sob that escaped her sweet lips broke through me and hit like a bullet right into my heart as she collapsed to the floor. I dropped to my knees and grabbed onto her, pulling her shaking body into my chest.
"She's dead Vic! She's- she's dead," she trailed off as she pushed me away, curling up on the floor and continuing her sobbing. Coldness consumed my body at her words.
"What?"
"Do I have to say it again?" She responded, her voice filled with sadness and pain. Now, it's my turn to sob. I dropped from my sitting position so that I was laying down, letting the tears consume me. I'm a terrible person, I wasn't there for them when they needed it most.
"How?" I choked, gulping back the sobs that wanted to come out.
"She died in her sleep," her voice trembled as she spoke. I could've been there. But (f/n) was worried about me, and how I was doing, and cleaning the mess I made with us, while I was leaving the house and cheating on her. She had to go through all this alone, and not even knowing where I was.
"I'm so sorry," I finally let out a sob. I set my hands on my face and wiped the tears that fell as I heard (f/n) shuffle towards me. I expected her to say something, or leave me here, but she wrapped her arm around my torso, and laid her head on my chest. She grabbed my hand and intertwined it with hers. This is both the comfort we need.
(Your P.O.V)
I don't care what he did, but I need him. I need his warmth, and his arms around me, and I just need his embrace. I nuzzled my face into his chest, tears now falling freely without a sound onto his tank top. I sat up a bit, letting Vic's arms wrap around my body. "Vic, I know I should probably be mad at you. And I know there's something you didn't tell me you did, but I love you. Way too much to just leave or let you leave, because I'm not letting go this time. Or ever,"I leaned down and pressed my cold lips to his warn ones, setting my hands to the sides of his face. Our lips moved in sync, being mixed with salty tears. "I love you," he spoke, the sincerity of his voice warming up my heart.
"I love you more," I whispered, laying upon his chest, and letting him play with my hair. This is what I need in life, and forever. No matter what, I can't lose him. Not again.
Not ever.
