The beeping from the heart monitor seems to get louder every minute I sit here. The nurse came in and said the doctor would be with us soon, but he hasn't gotten to us yet. The guys went to go get food down at the cafeteria, but I want to stay next to (f/n).

I reach down and set my hand on hers while I look at her. Her face pale, eyes shut and mouth still slightly parted. I gave her her beanie back, it now rests gently atop her head. When Mike and I planned the entire trip, I never thought that there would be a downfall. I never thought that we'd have to stop at a hospital in Arizona to make sure she's still with us. "Good afternoon," I jump out of my seat and turn to the doctor.

He has a clipboard and a pen tucked behind his ear. He's smiling at me, too. Why the hell would he be smiling here? I curtly nod and step to the side.

"How has she been doing?"

"She's just sleeping," I frown. "I hope." I add. The doctor sighs and pats my shoulder a little roughly.

"It'll be alright, I assure you. Now I'm just going to run some tests, can you step outside for a moment?" I give (f/n) one last glance and nod, leaving the room. This is hard, all so hard. And I still can't help but worry what's happened with Avi. He so suddenly came into our lives and scared us all and now he isn't anywhere. What he did to (f/n) pissed me off, did he really follow her home? If so, does he remember where we live?

And now the main problem is that the cops didn't do a thing. That's stupid. I wring my hands together, before running them through my hair. I don't mind the bills. The hospital bills are huge, nearly unaffordable but I won't complain. I'll do whatever it takes to keep her alive. "Alright I'm finished here. It seems like she's waking up a bit so you can go talk to her. Make sure as soon as she wakes up and is more aware of her surroundings to call me." I nodded and he swiftly goes down the hall to his next patient I assume.

I step into the room and close the door behind me, running a hand over my face. "Vic?" My heart nearly stops. As much as I want to run to her and squeeze her in a hug I smile, and sit down by her side to hold her hand. "What happened?" She lifts a shaky hand and sets it to her forehead.

"Let me get you some water," I stand up and grab a cup from a tray the doctor left, filling it with tap water. It's not the greatest thing, but it's still something. I hand it to her and she quietly thanks me. "We were in the water by the cliff," she nods. "And you just passed out." I frowned along with her.

"Well what happened?" She questioned, her voice still scratchy and quiet. She seemed to notice so she out the cup to her lips.

"I don't know," I admitted. "Do you feel okay?"

"I feel like nothing happened," she shrugs. I nod slowly and click the button on the wall that says 'doctor'. I'm assuming that's what he wanted me to do. "Where are the guys?"

"Getting food, they should be here any-" the door suddenly swung open and in came the guys, with bags of food in their hands.

"(F/n)!" Jaime shrieked, coming up to her side to squeeze her. She laughed gently and I smiled at the sight of all the guys greeting her.

"Did the doctor say anything?" Tony asked.

"Not yet," I smiled at (f/n) and took a hold of her hand, running my thumb along the top of it. It's like the universe heard us because the doctor walked in, a surprised look on his face.

"Looks like you're loved Ms.(l/n),"

"Yup," all of us answered. She chuckled slightly and but her bottom lip. She seems just fine right now, what the hell happened?

"Alright well I looked at the test results and I'm actually quite surprised by what I saw," he cleared his throat.

I watched as the doctor fumbled with his words. "You're a cancer patient, correct?" I nodded slowly. His eyebrows raised and his mouth opened, but he shut it. "I'm going to be honest with you here." He sat down and I expected the worst. "I've been a doctor for a long time now and I've never seen anything like this before," oh god.

"I looked at your scan and as of now there is not a single cell of cancer left in your body," my mouth dropped open wide. How? What?

"What?"

"I don't know." I looked around the room and we all shared the same expression.

"B-but why'd she pass out?" Vic stuttered, the grip on my hand tighter.

"This is the first time anything like this has ever happened. I've asked around the hospital and usually it takes a longer recovery." He smiled and set his hand on my shoulder. "I don't know what happened to you, but you're lucky. Very lucky."

"Wow," I breathed.

"I already faxed the paperwork to your doctor at home, and everything's set. You're discharged as of now," he smiled again. I couldn't speak, I simple nodded. Silence lingered in the room when suddenly a sob broke out. My eyes widened and I looked to the side to see Vic, his lip quivering.

"Vic!" I pulled him into me and he accepted the gesture with full arms, burying his head into my shoulder and neck. "Group hug!" I smiled, pulling all the guys in so that we were hugging each other.

"This is fucking amazing," Mike whispered.

"It is," I agreed with a chuckle.

"How is this even possible?"

"I don't know but I won't question it because I'm cancer free as of today," the words brought tears to my eyes and I smiled, wiping Vic tears with my finger. "It's gonna be okay, babe," I smiled.

"I was just so scared of losing you," he whispered, breaking my heart.

"Don't worry," I set my hands on his face and grinned. "You're not gonna lose me."

"Now let's get out of here and head to Texas!" I laughed and they left the room, letting me change into new clothes.

"We still have to pass through New Mexico you know," I pointed out with a chuckle to the guys chanting 'Texas' through the parking lot.

"Well- there's that too. But still! TEXAS! TEXAS!" The guys continued their chanting and I couldn't help but join them. We chanted all the way to the bus until we were in, filled with laughter. Clothes laid on the floor and Vic hat rested on the couch. I smiled and picked it up, placing it on top of his head.

"There, now you're Vic." He chuckled and adjusted it correctly on top of his head, leaning down to kiss my forehead.

"We've got a long road ahead of us boys and girls so strap in!" I shook my head and laughed at Jaime's words being shouted from the front of the bus. I plopped myself down on the couch and sighed, looking down at my hands. How is this even possible? Then I remembered.

"Vic where's my ring?" His mouth formed and 'o' and he hopped up, ignoring my 'its okay's and rushing to the bathroom. I laughed and lifted myself off the couch, following the noise of the loud rattling.

"What the hell are you doing?" Mike shouted from the front of the bus. I leaned against the door frame, a grin on my face as he frantically searched. Found it. It sat perched on the counter top, right where I left it before going swimming. But I'm not gonna tell him that of course, I want to mess with him.

"I'm so so so so sorry (f/n) I don't know where I put it and I-" I chuckled and picked it up from the counter, sliding it onto my finger. "Wait what the?" He flipped off the bathroom before following me to the living room with a scoff.

"That frustrating, huh?"

"I was scared I lost it and-" I silenced him by placing a kiss on his lips.

"You're fine," I smiled. I positioned myself on the couch so that I laid my head on his lap, my face facing the ceiling while I played with Vic's hand in front of my face. "I love you a lot, you know?" I told him. His smile was contagious as he looked down at me.

"I love you a lot too," he smiled.
