Charlotte's Point of View
"If you eat all of your veggies I bought some pie"
Did he really just say that? I can't possibly understand why but it makes a blush that rises from my undies up to my cheeks. He places a plate that looks like it would be used in a cafeteria in a school for princesses. I immediately love it. But why did he give it to me?
He sits down across from me, puts down his plate, slides forward in his seat and takes my hands in his. They feel just like I imagined, calloused fingers and soft palms, warm and dry, strong.
"Charlotte?"
I can't take the intensity of his gaze. I duck my head.
"Give me your eyes sweet"
I do
"Good girl. I want to be your daddy."
I snatch back my hands.
"Wait, this isn't a date?" God I'm so stupid. He does just think I'm a kid. "I'm not just some silly little girl!" I insist, though I'm not sure.
"It is most certainly a date cutie"
He sees my confused frown.
"Then.. What?"
"I want to be your boyfriend and also take care of you. And I do not think you are just a silly little girl. I think you're a smart young women. A women who I want to trust me enough that you can be my little girl"
He must mistake my curious expression for dissent because he says
"Don't say no yet, we'll have a normal lunch, you can go home and do some research, and tell me what you think tomorrow"
I nod slowly, still overwhelmed.
He sticks a piece of steak in his mouth.
"So," he chews and swallows "what's your favorite movie?"Authors note
