James's Point of View
"Why does your nose stick to the right daddy?"
My baby girl is so honest. It's nice to just be asked, straightforward. The only problem is, I'm not sure what to say. I take a deep breath and search for the right words.
"Baby." I pull my forehead off hers and clasp her wrists in my hands. "When I was younger I was very angry and I liked to fight a lot. In the beginning I did it in a bad way and then I started doing it as a sport in a healthy way. But it means that I got my nose broken. A lot. And it didn't always heal right because sometimes I would go back and fight again when I was supposed to be resting it."
"Oh! Okay"
Well I wasn't expecting that. She kisses my nose again and twines her arms around my neck.
She has this wonderful way of making complicated, painful things seem so simple.
"I'm glad you fight in a good way now."
"Yes sweetheart. I'm glad I box too"
"Can I fight you?" Her arms wiggle around me.
"No baby. But I would love it if you  came and cheered me on someday"
She lays her head on my shoulder and puts her legs around my waist.
"I would like that too"
We stay there for a while. Me kneeling, her half on the couch and wrapped around me like a vine. My neck is resting on the softness of her hair, my admittedly crooked nose buried in her delicious neck.
My stress saps away as I feel her strong little heartbeat, the twin softness of her breasts against my chest and the curve of her tummy. I clutch her as tight as I can before she emits a little squeak of pain. She clutches onto me just as hard.
"I have to go back to work angel"
"Nooo"
She digs those little heels right into the small of my back.
"I have to muffin. Every second you keep me here is another spank tonight"
I can hear her whisper counting five seconds before easing off. She's intrigued by spanking but scared too.
I stand up and lean down to kiss her nose one more time. She holds up her bear and I kiss his furry face too. I knew she would love him.
I knew a little would love saving that bear from that dusty shelf. I daydreamed about it. Cynthia hated that store, I think it has character.
I walk back to my office and think of the many other dreams that my little girl is going to make come true.

What should the brown stuffed bear with a tweed vest be named?
