Chapter 9

I look over. At Kenny right next to me smiling and relived. "Are you okay ? I'm so sorry I wasn't there to save you" he held my crippled hand and started to cry. I looked up at him and smiled. "Kenny it's okay" I got up and got cereal. I looked around to see there was no milk. Great I thought to myself.

I looked at my wrapped finger and sigh. I did this for Aj. I smiled and ate my dry cereal. Kenny came down and smiled at me. "Imma go on a supply run with the rest" he smiled and walked out the door. I smiled back and continued with my cereal. After I was finished I walked outside. Alexandria seemed empty but it wasn't. I saw Carl and walked up to him . Then saw Enid, I smiled at then both.

"Hey, how's it going" I speak and shake Enid's hand. She smiles back and looks at Carl. "We wanted to go but this kid ruined it for us" she crossed her arms then looked back at me. I raised my eyebrow. "What did he do?" I asked. She sighed and patted his back. "Argued with his father" she chuckles a little and stops patting him. He rolled his eyes and walked off. I chased after him "hey are you okay?" I asked him. He just kept walking ignoring me.

"Leave me alone Clem" he stopped and looked at me. "No I just wanted to know what going-" "leave me alone!!" He yells at me slamming the door in my face. I started to cry and then ran to my house inside my room. I cried myself to sleep and as I woke up it was night and everything was silent. "Kenny?" I called out walking down the stairs. No one answered.   I ran outside and then saw everyone running from the gate.

"We've got an emergency!!" Rick calls out running around every house. I run up to the gate and see Kenny getting held by Daryl. I look up at him and then back at a lifeless Kenny. "What happened?" I started to sob. Looking at his pale face made me sick to my stomach. "He got badly shot" he said with a tear running down his face. I fell to the ground crying. I felt a pat on my back and saw Enid. I got up and hugged her crying on her shoulder. She hugged me back and cried with me. I didn't know why she was crying. Maybe she was close to Kenny. Or something else.
