"Ally, do you want the window or the aisle?" Luke asked, secretly hoping I'd say aisle. He loved sitting at the window, watching the views, so I simply just sat down in the aisle seat. He grinned and kissed my cheek, before sitting by the window.

I grabbed my headphones from my carry-on, and plugged them into the screen in front of me. I passed Luke my right headphone, smiling at him as he put it in his ear. I had wanted to watch movies and listen to music for most of the flight, although Luke had mentioned about wanting to sleep for the majority of the time. Either way, we looked at the movies available before the flight and a few of them looked pretty good, so I was hoping they would help pass some of the time.

The hostesses were going through the safety precautions when Luke grabbed my hand. I jumped slightly at the contact, the turned my head. He was shaking slightly, the sweat evident on is forehead. I gave him a weak smile and rubbed circles on his hand with my thumb. I whispered soothing words in his ear whilst he calmed himself down. He usually got nervous on flights, so comforting and calming him down was something I'd done before, so I kind of knew what would help him.

Once we had set off and the light with the seatbelt icon had flicked off, I got out of my seat and sat on Luke's lap, my legs draping over my own seat. He was still nervous, so I tried calming him down by hugging him. He snuggled his head into the crook of my neck whilst I played with his hair. He kissed my collar bone gently and I smiled. Little things like that made me so happy, and Luke knew it, so he did it as often as he could.

I was sat on Luke's lap for a good half hour, and once I knew he had calmed down I tried to wiggle my way out of his grasp. Even though I tried, as soon as I made the slightest movement, Luke's grip tightened around my waist. I smiled weakly before snuggling into his grip. I kissed his cheek and turned around, choosing some music from the screen in front of me. I was about to put my headphone in my ear, when I heard a little girl across the aisle say "Mummy, why is that girl sitting on him?" I laughed slightly and melted into Luke's embrace.

"Yeah, can I get a Coke please?" I asked the flight attendant. She passed me a can of Coke and a plastic cup, so I thanked her and she carried on making her way down the aisle. I turned to Luke, who was sleeping. I smiled at the sight, the adorable little snores coming out of his nose making me go all fuzzy inside. I popped open my can and poured around half of it into my cup. I looked around where we were sitting. We had managed to book seats that were relatively close to the front, so we had the option of talking to the flight attendants. A family of 3 were on our right, the mother and daughter seeming to be engaged in a conversation, the father like Luke, was sleeping. Behind us was an old couple, who were both reading. Although they both seemed immersed in their books, they had intertwined their hands on the arm rest in between them. I smiled at the sight, thinking about my future with Luke as well.

I was happily watching 'Inside Out' when Luke stood up. He kissed my forehead before mouthing the word 'toilet' and walking away. I nodded and returned to my movie. Luke had been asleep for the good majority of the flight and seeing as he had only woken up a few seconds ago, I figured he would probably be awake for the rest of the flight.

It had been a good 15 minutes since Luke had left, and I was getting suspicious. I was about to get out of my seat and go and check on him when I saw him saunter sown the aisle towards me. He gave me a lazy smile, which I returned with a confused glance. I stood up to let him back into his seat, but before he could sit down a brunette girl sitting in front of us grabbed his arm and pulled herself up, immediately latching her mouth onto his.

I stood there, shocked. The girl wrapped herself around Luke, slipping her number into his back pocket, before walking off towards the toilets. Luke then spun around and looked at me. I was upset, so I just sat back down and brought my knees to my chest. Luke immediately tried to grab my hands and kiss me. I pushed his face away and shut my eyes. I knew it wasn't Luke's fault, but seeing him with another girl who was much prettier and skinnier than me sure made me feel fantastic. Luke sighed and shuffled past me into his chair.

We sat in silence until the plane began descending. I knew Luke was upset, so I put my knees down and put my hand over his.

"I know it wasn't your fault Luke, so don't think I'm annoyed at you. Seeing you with a girl much prettier than me just makes me realize how easy it'll be to lose you. I know you're gonna say 'You're so beautiful and I'll never want anyone else' but don't okay? I'm just scared and you're gonna have to let me deal with it on my own."

And with that, the plane had landed, so I stood up, grabbed my bags and made my way towards the exit.
