"New E-mail from Ashley!" I read on my iPad screen. Sliding it open, I sat on my bed and waited for it to load.

"Hey Austin! Its Ashley. I just wanted to say that we have practice from 12-4 today. Sorry it's such a short notice! Please be there. It's a mandatory practice. If you have any questions, e-mail or text me(:"

Setting my iPad on my desk, I ran inside of my closet and was looking for my new dolphins sports bra and spanks. Finally finding them in the box of cheer things, I grabbed my shoes. Deciding to wait to use my new one until right before competition, I grabbed my old ones. Closing my closet door, I walked over to my bed and set everything down. I stripped off my shirt and pants that I just recently put on. I pulled my sports bra over my head and pulled the spanks over my large butt. Looking in the mirror again at my stomach, I still couldn't believe it was so flat. Sighing, I pulled on my shoes and did my hair in a high pony tail before pulling some shorts on over my spanks. I put some deodorant on and perfume because I rather not smell bad. That's just gross. I checked my phone and it said that it was 11:15. I walked into Cody's room and saw that she was peacefully asleep.

"Crap!" I whispered. I forgot that I have no babysitter for Cody. What do I do? What do I do?! Deciding on the last thing to do is bring her with me, I texted Ashley.

"Hey, um, Could you come to my house so I can ask you a couple of questions and so I can follow you out there again?" it didn't take Ashley very long to text me back saying that shed be here in about 5 minutes. I carefully took Cody out of her crib and sat her in her car seat, making sure not to wake her. I buckled her in and grabbed her diaper bag. I made sure that everything that she would need is in there. Right when I sat her diaper bag down next to Cody, the doorbell rang. Rushing down the stairs, I open the door for Ashley. I'm greeted with a smile on her face,

"What'd you need to ask me?"

"Well, you may or may not want me on the team after this,"

"Austin, nothing is going to make me change my mind. You're literally just about the best cheerleader there is on the team. I can't just drop you."

"You wont think that after this. Just come follow me," I stated and motioned for her to follow me. I walked up the stairs and went down the hall. I stopped at Cody's room and took a big breath.

"Please don't judge me when you see her," I said quietly.

I opened the door and walked inside. I faced Cody's and waited for Ashley to spot her. When she did, she took a gasp inwards. I flinched because I thought it was a bad thing but what comes out of her voice next takes me by surprise,

"She's so cute! I didn't know you had a baby sister! Why would I kick you off the team for this?" She asked confused.

"Ashley, she's not my baby sister," I say slowly.

"Cousin?"

"No."

"Babysitting?"

"No."

"Then who's is she?"

"She's mine. I had her a couple of weeks ago. Her name is Cody and she's my baby," I look down at her and tears start to swell up. I don't even know why, they just did.

"Austin she's adorable. There is nothing to be ashamed of! You kept her at 16 and a lot of teen moms don't do that. You're stronger than a lot of people that has had babies at your age. We can figure something out. We can bring her with to practices. The team will understand. We had a girl like you last year but she was 18. They absolutely loved that little boy and they'll love Cody. When school starts, we can probably higher someone to watch her during the school hours or we could work it out with your teachers. It's happened a couple of times and no one has been looked down on so you really have nothing to worry about. Lets get going because it's 11:30," she boosted my confidence a bit there and made me feel a lot better about things. I grabbed Cody and her diaper bag and made my way down the hallway and the stairs. I locked the door behind me and buckled Cody into the backseat of my car. I sent my dad a quick text telling him where I was going and that I was taking Cody.

I followed Ashley all the way to the school and parked right next to her. I un-buckled Cody and grabbed her and the diaper bag. I faced Ashley and smiled, letting her know that I was ready to go in. We walked into the school and toward the gym. Ashley held open the gym doors for me and I thanked her. I waited for Ashley. Once the doors shut, everyone knew that we were there. It was dead silent and everyone was just staring at us. I sat Cody down by the bleachers and look at Ashley. I didn't know what to do and I felt very uncomfortable.

"Guys, stop staring. It's just Austin. She's not an alien. Now, come over here and meet her baby Cody."

"Wait, so this is you're baby? As in, you carried her for 9 months?" some guy in the back asked.

I couldn't help but laugh at that question,

"Yes. I gave birth to her. She's only a couple of weeks old and she's asleep right now. Please don't wake her on purpose. Yeah we'll carry on practice like usual but can we be a bit quit until she wakes up? She hasn't slept much lately," I pleaded and everyone smiled and shook their head up and down indicating a yes.

"Okay, so warm up. 10 laps around the gym. No cutting corners, if we do, I'll add 2 laps to every corner that was cut. Go!"

We ran and ran and ran. We ended up doing 16 laps which wasn't bad. At least I didn't think so considering I was barley breaking a sweat and my breath was still even and everyone was completely out of breath. Panting for their breath. We sat on the matts and started our stretches, making sure to really push ourselves today. I couldn't really push myself and more because I'm double jointed in everything and I've stretched everything for years and its like I have no bones now. Hahaha! In the middle of stretching, I heard Cody's little cry and got up to walk over there. When I got there, she was just sitting there in her car seat looking up wards. When she spotted me , the biggest smile formed on her face and I couldn't help but smile back as my heart swelled up for her. I set her car seat upwards so she was facing everyone and could see what was going on. She was still buckled up and she didn't care. I put a blanket on top of her and set a bottle on top of it so she could eat. Making sure that stayed, I walked back over to the ground. When I sat down, I was bombarded with questions and I couldn't help but laugh and answer them for quite a while, feeling joy inside of my body for my baby girl and me.
