oikawa sat in his room, the final letter in his hand, wearing one of iwaizumi's sweater. it was by far the longest one hajime had written.

oikawa took a deep breath. he was ready.

'dear tooru,

i woke up this morning knowing i was going to die. i postponed writing you a letter since i found out. it was almost depressing.

anyway, i'm writing this before i inform saeko about my feeling. i'm going to finish the envelope and tell her to hide it in my suit. i know you'll find it if you need it. if you're okay, you won't.

it feels weird. i feel calm. i want you to finish your match, but i don't know if i'm going to make it until the evening. you beat ushibaka, right? i'm pretty sure you did. your team is strong.

i'll say this when you get here, but thank you so much. for being my hero. you were my first and only best friend, kiss, boyfriend, time and true love.

i hope you find someone who can make you feel like you made me feel. i can imagine that our love isn't something that can be replicated, but maybe you can find something similar to our happiness.

you're an amazing person. these letters can prove that. you stayed with me through thick and thin and you did almost drag me to graduation. i hope you use your life wisely. i don't want you to forget me, but i want you to find happiness without me. okay?

i still love you. always have and always will.

love from heaven,

iwaizumi.

(p.s. i know i told saeko that i hated god if he did exist and that he's a sadist. i know you don't believe in the after life. i currently have no idea where i'm going to be. but love from wherever i am.)'

oikawa folded it up with a sad smile, placing it on the pile of letters, before stacking them neatly and putting them back in the envelope.

"i love you too, iwa-chan," he whispered as he put them in his pocket before heading out to work.
