It was past 12 and we couldn't get a taxi. "Taxi! Taxi!" Helen called with her thumb out. She grunted loudly. "We're not going to find a taxi at this time. Let's just walk" I told her. Fresh air sounded great right about now. Anything to keep my thoughts away from Zayn. "Are you kidding me? It'll take more than an hour by foot" Helen remarked. She sighed. We decided we would walk a block down maybe a taxi would come by. Just then a black Mercedes pulled up next to us. "Need a ride?" A familiar British voice said through the passenger seat. It was Harry. Zayn was at the drivers seat, staring at us. "No thank you, we'd rather walk" I shot at them. "It'll take you hours to get there by foot" Zayn said a bit harshly. I gave him a look. "Plus, two girls shouldn't be walking home this late. There are pervs out there" Zayn's voice was serious. He seemed so protective, but why?. "Since when do you care?" I shot. He looked at me angirly. "If you want to be fucked by a perv go ahead. Not my problem" anger rising in his voice. I looked at him shocked and slightly hurt. His eyes soon softened up. My heart feeling as if it's been attacked. I looked at Helen. Her expression was the same as mine. "Come with us" Harry said softly. I looked at Helen and she shrugged. I opened the door to the back seat and Helen followed behind me. My hands were shaking. I've never felt so...heart broken. Why am I letting his words get to me like this? Why am I feeling like this? I asked myself. My lips quivering but I bit them. I was not going to cry in front of him, never. "I'm not going to lie but you guys look banging!" Harry said lightening up the mood. I gave Helen a look. "Am I suppose to thank you?" Helen shot. The look on her face was embarrassment. "You're welcome" he replied smirking through his words. Helen bit her lip. "Maybe you guys should cover up more. Showing too much skin attracts perverts" Zayn said in a soft tone. My anger boiled up. Who was he to tell us how to dress? "Who are you, my father?" Helen shot. Zayn. and Harry let out a laugh. "All I'm saying is that dressing appropriate wouldn't hurt. You look like a bunch of sluts" Zayn said back. I couldn't handle it anymore. First he yells at me and then calls us sluts? We did not ask for this! "Stop the car...stop the car!" I yelled. Zayn hit the breaks hard and I threw open the doors and got out. "I'm not going to be insulted like this. "You know nothing about me! You can't tell me what to do!" I yelled at Zayn. The tears I was holding in bursting out. Helen came out the car and put her arms around me. "Suite yourself" Zayn said He started the car, driving away leaving us stranded in the middle of the highway. "Stop crying Sara. Stop, control yourself. You can't keep letting them get to you!" She said rubbing my arm for comfort. I wiped my tears. "Promise me, promise me you'll stay away from them!" I said to Helen. Worried expression took over her face. "I don't want anything to do with them. I don't want to be near them!" I yelled. Helen took my hand. "Okay Sara we won't. Now stop. Let's just enjoy our time here. That's why we're here in the first place. We're here to get away from problems and have fun. Stop stressing about them" Helens words seemed to calm me down. I came on a vacation to relax, not to be harassed by ignorant dicks. Helen took my hand and we began to walk. How could they just leave us stranded?! These boys make no sense! One minute they're telling us to get in the car so pervs don't get us and the next minute they just leave us?! I just want this day to be over with!
*Helen's POV*
Sara's reaction had me petrified. I have only seen her really mad once during the 6th grade, when this guy bullied her. She can't handle the insults, she'll blow up. The way Zayn was acting was very suspicious. Why was he being all protective? Why would he care about Sara's feelings? All this just doesn't make any sense. Sara and I had walked about three blocks when suddenly a black Nissan pulled up next to us. Sara grabbed hold of my hand tightly. The window rolled down and blue familiar eyes peeped through. "Helen?" The guy behind the wheel said in an Irish tone. "Niall" I said in relief. "What are you doing here this late?" Concern in his voice. I smiled. "We couldn't get a taxi" I replied. I was not going bring up Harry and Zayn again. I didn't want to stress Sara out even more. "Come I'll drop you off" Niall suggested. I looked at Sara and she smiled willingly. I opened the door and got in with Sara behind me. "Where to?" Niall asked. "Claridges Hotel" Niall nodded and we drove off. Sara gave me a half smile as she looked at nail and back at me."Niall, this is my friend Sara, Sara this is Niall" I introduced them. "Hey" he said and she replied with a soft "hi". "You guys look so pretty, where did you guys go?" Niall asked. I blushed a little. "We went to the Jessie J concert" I replied. "Really? I was just there! Sad I didn't see you guys. I could've dropped you home by then" he replied. I quickly bit my lip. The guilt of denying his phone call hit me. Niall is so sweet and kind. How could I think so wrong of him. I didn't even give him a chance. I quickly shook my thoughts. I thought the same of Jake and he hurt me. Helen just realize you'll never be good enough for anyone. Jake left you and soon enough Niall will too. You're a nobody. You're not worth it. I felt my heart shatter. I'll never be good enough. "Here we are" Niall said as we stopped at the entrance. "Thanks Niall" Sara said as we got out the car. "You're welcome" he replied. I gave him a half smile. We turned to go inside. "Wait Helen!" Niall called out. I turned around and walked towards the car. Niall's piercing blue eyes staring into mine. He was so beautiful. I wanted to run into his arms, I want him to hold me, to kiss me. But I would never be good enough.
