*Helen POV* *Buzz-Buzz*
I heard the alarm clock on my phone go off. I moaned turning to the side table to grab my phone and turn it off. It was 10 am and Sara was still fast asleep. I got up quietly, trying not to wake her, and hopped into the shower. Ever since we came here it has been one headache after another. It hadn't even been a full week since our vacation started and Sara has been in deep shit; we both have. Last night when we were on our way back from the hospital, I had sent Sara inside so that Niall and I could talk alone. I told him the truth about Harry and Zayn, and about how they had been bothering us since we got here. Niall told me that Harry and Zayn were trouble makers from the start, but that doesn't mean that he was like them. I knew he wasn't. Niall was the sweetest thing to me since day one. I knew I could trust him, but truth was I wasn't ready. I wasn't ready to date. Niall is really sweet and I know if we got together he would give me nothing but happiness, but this was all new to me. I need time. I need time to realize what I really want. Hopefully by then it won't be too late.
I got out the shower and wrapped myself in a towel. I wiped the foggy mirror to stare at my reflection. I think we both need some time to just relax and take it easy. Sara and I have been through too much; it's time for us to truly enjoy our vacation. I finished getting dressed and got out the bathroom to wake Sara up. She was still sleeping. "Sara...Sara" I said shaking her shoulder. "Yeah?" Sara croaked rubbing her eyes. "Get up it's almost 12, we're gonna be late" I said walking over to the window to open the curtains. "Late for what?" Sara asked climbing out the bed. "I think we should go out somewhere like a picnic or something. Anything other than staying in this stupid hotel" I said putting my hands on my hips. Sara smiled, "Yeah...I'd like that." "Alright then go shower up, I'll clean up the room and start packing some food!" Sara smiled and went into the bathroom and I began to clean. Today might actually be good.

"Ugh! Why is this basket so heavy?! My arms feel like they're gonna fall off!" Helen cried out. We were walking towards the park which was two blocks away. Helen was holding onto the food basket while I held the sheets and our bags. I would help her but we were almost there. We found a nice area to sit. It was right under the shade of a big tree. In front of us you could see a bunch of kids playing soccer- or as Louis calls it "football". I spread out the sheet and Helen laid down sighing in relief. I laid down next to her, looking up at the clouds. "Nice right? It all looks so peaceful" Helen said closing her eyes. I closed my eyes too. "Yeah it is" I whispered back. "Hey Helen?" I said still not looking at her. "Yeah" she replied. "What happened with Niall last night?" Helen hadn't told me what happened with her Niall. With the whole Alex showing up out of no where, I had completely forgotten that she was with him last night. I hadn't spoken to Alex and wasn't planning on it. At least not until I was ready. I kinda felt like I made this entire vacation about me. I didn't know what was going on with Helen and her life. Helen sat up and I sat up with her. She let out a huge sigh. "I told Niall everything. I told him about Harry and Zayn and about how they were bothering us" Helen said biting her lip. I raised my eyebrows, a little shocked that she was so open about it. I mean I don't know why we were hiding it from Alex and Niall. I guess maybe we just didn't want anyone to worry about us. "What did he say?" I asked curious. "He understood. He told me they were like that from the beginning, but it didn't mean that he was like them too" Helen looked away from me and started playing with the grass. "Niall seems like a great guy Helen. Maybe you should give him a chance?" I know I was pushing it for her. Helen hadn't been in a relationship since junior year when she was with Jake. She had developed trust issues and ever since she wasn't able to trust anyone. She was paranoid that people were lying to her. She never gave anyone a chance. There was a long silence between us "I don't think I'm ready" Helen finally said. I looked over at her. "I kinda disagree" I said quickly hesitating to finish. "What do you mean?" Helen looked over at me. "Well, I think that you're more than ready to start a relationship. You're just not ready to commit" Helen let out a small chuckle. "How can I be ready to start a relationship, when I'm not ready to commit? That makes no sense Sara" Helen said putting on a awkward smile. She never did like talking about this. "Well what I mean is that, you're ready for a relationship but maybe it's not Niall whom you want to be with" I bit my lip, waiting for Helen's reaction. Helen was quite, not saying anything. "You okay?" I asked, afraid I made her upset. Helen gave a half smile. "Yeah can we just, talk about something else?" She squinted at me. I smiled, "Yeah sure...you hungry?" Helen nodded and I took out two sandwiches. We spent the entire day cracking jokes and laughing. It was a day well spent. We finally finished eating and packed away our things. It was getting dark now and the mosquitoes were going to be out. We began to walk back to the hotel.
We had finally reached the hotel and Helen clicked for the elevator button. The door opened and Alex was standing in the middle. My heart began to beat fast and I looked over at Helen who was looking back at me. "Hey" Alex whispered looking at me. I half smiled back. "Um I was just looking for you...do you think we can talk?" Alex looked at me and I looked at Helen confused about what to say. Helen nodded an approval to me. Alex got out the elevator and Helen took his place. "Call me if you need anything" Helen said giving Alex a look. I nodded and followed Alex out the hotel. I wondered what he had to say.
